Day 10 of 30
This was the tool I carried today, but I didn't take any action shots. I only used it to open some toy boxes for my daughter, but she was so impatient that I didn't have time for photos.
And in fact this Heritage PST has been my daily for the past few months with a few exceptions.
It's nice that it fits in my wallet side pocket (Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro).

Day 10

I was asked about pivot size.  This is my 2003 on the right, showing the size difference.

I found two more PST s  in  storage,   I forgot about them😆

The center is 1103 (both handles) larger plier head. Stamped Leatherman Tool

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The right is stamp  0193 (blade handle).  Other one forgotten.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 10:

I was thinking today about the pliers discussion and compared to my Kick and Wave. These are the 3 pliers types I typically carry for Leatherman.  I used the PST pliers to grip a nut to tighten the tractor seat bolts today. Made me think about the spacing and the Wave pliers type is actually 1 tooth smaller (4) compared the older style.  Now comparing purchase on the 1/2” nut: 1 fewer teeth maybe affected my ability to grip but I never really noticed it before direct comparison.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Then I thought about how well I can typically get by with the PST.  I typically use all the tools except the file and smallest driver.  How does that leave the Kick by comparison?  I bet I could do just fine until needing an awl.  That said, I like to use a serrated blade, and so compared to my modded Wave+ I could do OK with the PSTII combo blade.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I think before this month is out I’ll try swapping an awl  into my PSTII and see how I fare.  Looks like it’ll be in place of the small driver. Believe it or not I use a can opener several times a week for cans (maybe more for bottles  :drink: )

Disneyland with the family today, unfortunately they do have metal detectors, so this gets left in the car until we're done. 😢
