Nice photo.  I might have to get one of those little dangly things one of these days.  Lots of the guys here tie their own with paracord.  Never got into the habit.  The Swiss Army Knives come sharp and ready to use.  One of my favorite things about them.  Best wishes.  G

I like the little dangly things, too.  Unfortunately I got into the Paracord habit.

Elitist,  the Spartan is a great knife.

Thanks PitCarver I do like what people are doing with paracord on their knives.👌

Welcome aboard! The Spartan is a good choice. As it's a popular model, you could probably collect hundreds and still find more that you don't have.

Welcome to :MTO:!

And nice choice for a first SAK! My first was a tinker, which is the spartan with the corkscrew replaced with a Philips driver. To this day I remain a fan of the two layer models, and have EDC’d a pioneer for 12 years now.

Kudos on an excellent first-choice, elitist; it was my first too! Still have it, a black, no-pinhole model but to which I added the mini driver.  Have gotten three additional ones, all reds: a pinhole scaled, a fluted corkscrew and a serrated main blade one. (Yes, welcome to "the rabbit's hole"!)

Welcome!

My first SAK (nearly 30 years ago now) was a Spartan as well.

Spartan is a great first SAK. Welcome to the forum. This is the friendliest group of people online. Your first won't be your last. SAKs multiply like rabbits.

Excellent choice. It's never too late to buy a Spartan.
May the Spartan Force be with you.
