The important factor here is that it is free beer.

In my time on this site I've yet to come across anyone with anything other than a friendly, helpful attitude. I'd like to thank the people whose hard work keep this place running :tu:

Funny how it is debatable how much personal time is really given in this forum. We really know more about each other and the respective familys than most of the familys on the block. I know last year I was kinda worried about the meetup on Sebago, but i really look forward to this years meet. I belong to several forums but this one is home.

Which is a little unsettling, considering there are at least 3 nubile hotties* on my block, and this forum is populated by balding men.

now, if only these people could join in and help out instead of splitting off further... There's nothing more annoying that signing up for various forums of the same type...

I suppose people do this with hopes of getting some free samples or whatnot...

Out of silliness my good lady and I once spent a Sunday afternoon trawling the net trying to get as may freebies as possible.  We created a fictional name/email address and went for it.

We ended up receiving piles of coupon books for stuff we had no interest in, a few cheap biros, a small bottle of shaving oil and a couple of satchets of spiced lubricant.  An interesting exercise but not worth the time or environmental damage :)

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

there are websites that post links to many freebee offers on the net... a friend of mine used to trawl them daily and ended up with loads of interesting stuff (discounts on PC hardware being the best) he would buy with mega discount and sell on ebay etc just below normal asking prices... mind you, he was unemployed at the time...

Being gainfully unemployed would be a great way to live if I could master that science and art. When I first went online,I tried the freebie route, but all I got for my efforts was spam, and lots of it.

Yup I heard about that. A professor of mine used to earn some extra cash sending spam during the late 90's 5 dollars here, 10 dollars there it used to add up to about 500 dollars a month what amazing is he was using dial up back then.

I used to email promotional companies asking for samples, never got anything that great but a few useful bits & pieces.
