Day 5: When Opinel designed the Outdoor, it was meant as a mountain climbing knife, which is where the shackle key and the whistle come into play. The instructors at this school carry them:https://www.guides-montagne.org/pages/becoming-mountain-guide?language=enNo mountain climbing for us today! Just fixed breakfast.

No I don't believe. I found this out while reading an article from Opinel a couple of years ago.
Day 4 (Image removed from quote.)Another comparison picture for the day. I saw a post on another forum today about how modern folders are so much bigger than their traditional counterparts. And it's kind of true. Here is a Copperhead from case, that's general a "fullsize" knife yet it's the same size as the "mini" griptilian. And massive compared to a "medium" jack knife.
Day 5Stuck with the 943SBK today. During lunch today, it helped me damasked the window in the kitchen I had painted the other day. It is hard to get into the corners and the pointy tip made it a breeze to peel up. JonesE
Oh OK. I was thinking I was missing something obvious in the link you posted.
Day 6 Gerber helped make some tuna sandwiches. When I was a sprout, I wouldn't eat a sandwich unless it was cut diagonally. I must have seen it on TV, or maybe one of my relatives did it that way. I do remember a sandwich cut any other way didn't taste right. There is however a Spam exemption. Two slabs of Spam make a sandwich where small pieces fall out when they are cut diagonally. Spam gets laid out on a piece of toast side by side. Then you cut between them, so both Spams remain whole. Mustard, of course. Two slices of toast. If you are in a hurry, a single slice of Spam can fit on one slice of bread, then you double it over so the Spam isn't naked. That is called a 'doubley'. Mustard is optional for that one. Best wishes. G [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] Had to open up a new pepper/grinder module too. Gerber made the first cut, then it was mostly a peel job after that.
