Day 14

Evidently didn't rain hard enough for the river to get up in the road.  Or if it did, the water level went down quickly.  Looked like some water standing at the stop sign, so maybe it did get up for a while.  The tools for the day were a shovel and Wingman.  Didn't really use the Winger for anything.
The combo blade and the pocket clip are on the same pivot (screw).  When you tighten them enough to stop the pocket clip from wiggling, the blade is too tight to open easily.  Why have a one-hand opener if you can't open it with one hand?  The blade is easily removed.  I did it once when I was thinking of replacing it with a plain edge blade.  Not so easy with the clip.  It is on the main portion of the pivot and every tool would have to be removed to get the clip off.  Did I ever mention that I hate pocket clips?  Especially wiggly ones.  I thought of using a thread sealant to stop the movement but discovered that my tiny tube of purple stuff had dried up or maybe leaked out.  Drat.
I thought of just taking the whole mess apart and removing the clip permanently.  Of course, reassembly might be hard without the correct tool.  Plus, there is the possibility that the screw wouldn't tighten up enough afterward since the base of the clip acts as a spacer.  Might have to make a spacer of some sort to reclaim the correct tool tension.  Double drat.
I have carried the same tool before, so getting used to the bulk and weight was not a factor.  I carry it in a pants pocket sometimes.  Usually it gets put in a coat pocket, since that is what the weather requires just now.  The blade is nice and Leatherman sharp.  Best wishes.  G

It's about the same here.  We got some snow last night, but that wind is strong   My youngest is now in college, so I miss the days of dropping the boys off at school.  Like your Lego too Aztec!
No more rain over here but the windchill factor made it 12°F this early morning when it was time for the kids to walk to school.  Wife decided it was best to drive them this morning.

Day 12 - catch up

Forgot to post yesterday as I was wrapping the wife's Birthday present.  Couldn't find the scissors so I pressed this beast into service.  It actually performed very well in spite of it's size.

Thanks EchoTech!  I wondered, because I saw somewhere that the first PST II 's weren't marked any different from the regular PST.  That's a nice example!

DAY 14 - Valentine's Day.... :woohoo:

After the stress of losing my mum, my beautiful wife and I went for a romantic lunch (we have young children so evening meal is difficult, particularly now we lost grandma  :-[ )

Wife refused a picture of her with the knife, so here is her pretty hand

I don't think my post went through yesterday. Either that or I posted it in the wrong thread.

Anyway mini griptilian with the only other black coated blade I own, and an Emerson CQC7. It's also the only tanto I own.

Day 15

Raining again.  At least I got out yestiddy and bought enough snacks and bread to last a while.  Depending on how much snacking and breading I do.  Then it will be back into the low temps again by about Wednesday.  About a half-acre of the W-Mart parking lot was cordoned off.  Employees told me, they were moving in stuff to do an upgrade inside.  Area fenced off was full of shipping containers.  I walked over to the watch display and saw a little short old man looking through the watches like he had lost something in the rack.  Frantic.  Must have been some kind of Valen-time sale.  I looked at a few.  They don't have G-Shocks there.  Just the cheaper Casios.  Also some Armitron and George watches.  I had an Armitron once upon a time.  I went through 3 batteries for it in about two years, then swapped it to someone.  When I left he was still frantically going through the rack. Maybe he knew something.  Lots of the slots for Armitron and Casio were vacant.  Must have been a rumor of coming cheap watch shortages.  Egad.  Maybe I should have bought a Data Bank or one of the retro F91Ws.  The bands on a lot of these thing are too short.  A new wrist watch loses a lot of its glory when you have to cut off the strap and tie a string to make it into a pocket watch.   Best wishes.  G

Your style of writing reminds me of a particular style of speaking, somewhere in the USA, but I can't place it.  (yestiddy should give me a clue.... as would Saturdee, Sundee, Mondee) It's interesting how sometimes we write how we speak, and sometimes we dont... and even more interesting how we speak differently.  William Faulkner was an interesting one.
