Day Fifteen of Combo

Carried the Freestyle today. Delica for size comparison.  The Freestyle is pretty sharp. Cut thru a cardboard box with ease today.

Day 15

The 551SBK helped with prepping the family room for paint today. It trimmed and scraped drywall and mud around outlets and switches today. Trying to get the family room ready for primer tomorrow.

Day 16

Opened a new funnel for the oil change, and sharpened a pencil today.  I did way more than that but those were the only two things that necessitated using the Kershaw Leek.

Day 17

I saw something Sunday on the internet about businesses being closed today.  Monday holiday evidently?  So, I did like anyone else would do.  I punched in the search bar, "What holiday tomorrow?"  I learned according to Artificial Incompetence that today is Memorial Day.  Not only that but today is also May 27th.
Put out your flags today.  I will be making some sweet tea and sitting on the porch later.  With layers of clothing and a knit cap.  It is 27F here this morning.  At least they got the 27 part right.  With all the rushing winds, I had to make another trip down my driveway to clear debris.  Not much happening.  Some dead wild grape vines fell out of the trees and there were a few little tree limbs.  No biggie.  No leaves on the trees this time of year, so they don't provide much surface area for the wind to work against.  I could ask the AI why but just remembered that I turned it off in the settings.  Best wishes.  G

Day 17

Used to be English Muffins were pre-sliced with just a bit of the middle un-sliced.  It took just a bit of a twist and it came apart.  Now I get to use my combo blade to slice the entire muffin.   Then put it in the toaster.  NO, not the blade., the muffin.

Echo- glad you reminded me about nixie tubes.  I hadn’t thought about them in some time.
Anybody remember the early “digital” clocks with the numbers printed on a rolodex type mechanism.  AND, sometimes the flipping number cards were noisy.  Especially after a long bar night.  Another thought, Anybody remember a Rolodex?  Sometimes my mind just wanders.
Oh yeah, the combo blade.

Day 17 of 30

Today tested how sharp my MP800 blade is by cutting some paracord and it was pretty sharp. It still has factory sharp blade.

Day 17: Just a posed picture with some dark roast.  Today is a great day for a hot cuppa! I actually used the blade last night when the power went off at the store and we had to save the frozen and refrigerated goods.  Cut tarps to close off the openings.  Couldn't get pics though.

I really like them, actually have two, the other one uses different tubes but unfortunately has a weird setting system which I can't get to work since moving

I like all of those old types of clocks and definitely remember the rolodex type with the flipping numbers
If I wasn't trying to cut back on possessions I'd be very tempted to get one

Day 16 Catch up

Use the Delica to strip back a wire to fix a blinking light in the kitchen. Combo serrated edge worked great for this.  :tu:

Day Seventeen of Combo

The ole Delica is getting some good use this challenge. I was one the PE band wagon for a long time. When done right like this Delica i'd look into combo edges in the future instead of ruling them out wholesale.
