The DR-25 extension has a ball detent and is extremely deep. Regular bits just sink in. The DR-26 has a magnet and works ok with regular bits.

The Knipex is a great tool. I tried it on a couple of screws with the PZ-58, both grab the screw fine. The knipex is better for grabbing sideways, like regular pliers, because of the opening pattern and aggressive teeth. And it is slipjoint with 3 positions. Definitely a good tool. But it only comes in red. :D

The Engineer scribe pen could be turned into a regular pen or mechanical pencil. It certainly looks doable.

Well the red one is 2mm thick and actually they have a 2mm wrench that is cheaper and longer. The red one is actually cut off from it and overmod with a red plastic handle...

Speaking about stubby it may be off topic
I have a Vessel 220W which I like very mich

... and it has a stubby version 270BW.
[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

My favorite Vessel is the new 2200MBH ratcheting ball handle with the detachable stubby ratcheting ball.
Maybe we need a Vessel Owners Club! :D

Currently I am using the 220w with the leatherman ratchet driver, it is enough most of the time. I have some vessel double ended bits and a few vessel ph2 driver scatterer around as well, but that's about it.

wow, I've never seen that one before. Do they even make it anymore? :ahhh :salute:

I received the PZ-54 today. It has wire-cutters, I got it because the PZ-56 does not.

Also got the LaBear folding ratchet and the Blackburn Big Switch ratchet :woohoo:

Ooops, I forgot one.

I have read somewhere that the TWM-08 is a TWM-07 with it's handled cut short. But I like the length of 08 more.

I've got details for all the PZ-58 colors except PZ-58F - Purple. Not even Engineer remembers who the customer was.

Engineer 58 was bought for work and has already helped out several times, otherwise what's the point of the tool? To admire it in the package?

p.s. And yes, I need another 58, but it's not urgent :)

True, who in their right mind would get tools just to leave them in the packaging?

The dr-54 stubby ratchet seems useful in some very tight space

That's what I thought at first but then ReamerPunch started his ratchet review marathon and I found much better options.

I wasn't turning screws with it. Just putting bits in and out.
I was putting together notes for upcoming reviews, for the ratchets I received yesterday, weight, length, bit clearance etc, and I was putting bits in and out all of them (CROM, Engineer, Railer), and all of a sudden I notice the Engineer spring was broken. I haven't found the broken piece. I don't know when exactly it broke. But I've only had it since yesterday, and I didn't take it out of the packaging until today, so it broke today.

Yes, that's the bit retention spring. I didn't even turn one screw with it. Very disappointed. Still haven't heard from them. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday.

IIRC there was a thread here about Vampire pliers.  When I researched them, I found the green Engineer pliers and bought them.  Then I bought a set for my dad, my best friend, and another for me.

Thanks to ReamerPunch and this thread, I've been reading the Engineer site and making a list
