Victorinox Executive?

What is everyone's thought of the Vic Executive?

I seems like a nice knife to me but I have one on the way and was wondering if anyone carried one much :D

I love the Executive, and the nailfile(which also doubles as a flat Phillips) is just about the best in the business.Get an  Executive, and you'll have a big handful of utility in a 74mm package.Small enough to not draw much notice, and big enough to handle most tasks. One small warning, the orange peeler is sharp, deceptively sharp,so be careful when you use the screwdriver on the end of that blade.

Whilst I'm not a fan of the peeler I do like the 74mm Vics and have quite a selection.  I find the blades of the 58mm line far too small so the 74s are my little knives.

I do wish there were more tools available for it though.  I have been trying to improve that situation and there has been much grinding and sanding and buffing and more grinding (of teeth!).

So far I've destroyed quite a few SAKs and the process is still on going.

Fear me little knives fear me  >:D

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I really like mine, as it's the smallest stand alone sak possible, and pairs really well with something like a Farmer :)
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

I love them as well. I only wish that they had a more useful tool in place of the orange peeler. Like a serrated blade.  :P

I have one, but it's WELL used (as it said on eBay) The main blade is broken and the orange peeler blade is DULL! I still really like it, I hope to buy a new one someday!

Since you like it so much why don't you send it in for a tune-up  :D

OMG! (I got that from my Little Sister) I love my Executive. I have carried every day for 2 years now. It is attached to my Fenix LOD. I modded the end of the orange peeler for an eye glass screw driver and the file is great for small Philips screws!

That's a good point :) but I believe that you have probably supported them enough over the years that I personally wouldn't consider that abuse ;) How long have you had it if you have had it a while and used it much at all I wouldn't see the problem :tu: Include a note and tell them of the situation I am sure they would fix it and offer to pay if it would make you feel better :D

I am sure even if it were fixed you would still buy a new one anyways :D

I am not saying anyone needs to abuse the warranty either ;) It just doesn't seem right somehow if a tool is broken and can be fixed

Of course I try not to buy them broken :pok: :D

Well I got the Executive and except for a little pocket link and just a little grimyness it was in like new condition so after a little scrub it was shining like new :tu: It seems like a great tool to EDC and I really like the size :o It really seems like it would disappear in your pocket :tu: Owe had to touch the blades up just a tiny bit and they were back to razor sharpness :D
