I do wished that they would expand on this size of knife and add some more tools to it  :o

Going back to the beginning of this thread I have said similar things and my mind has remained unchanged in this aspect  :tu:

That's always been my feeling on the executive. To me, and this is just my own feelings, it seems a little too in between. I'd probably be more interested if they replaced the orange peeler with a made to scale combo tool. and reshape that nail file tip for a flat Phillips driver. But even with just the combo tool added, I could see it in my pocket edc.

:imws:

The 65mm line is the biggest I'd have on the keys, and the 84mm line is the smallest I'd want in the pocket. This size range is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist in my mind.

I don't use mine for much. Probably because it's not in the greatest condition, damaged scales and dull orange peeler, but also because I find it too limited in the screwdriver area. Kind of a pet peeve. A good knife nevertheless, if you won't miss the drivers, scissors, file, blades... Pretty much the Classic's bigger brother.

The Executive stands out from other SAKs and is not to be over-thought.  Somehow, there are many theories, the Executive just possesses an uncommonly high coolness factor.   It doesn't matter if you need a better screwdriver... should you REALLY be doing any screw driving?  Probably not, you're an Executive...  and you have people call people to take care of ish like that.  But if you want to kick back and enjoy some fresh citrus after cutting, cleaning, and filing your nails the Executive affords you a great set of tools for these tasks.  And from what I understand it's pretty helpful in diffusing bombs with mid-80's digi technology, so that counts for something too.

Nuff said.

Especially the ones that use big vile's of acid as a secondary trigger, and you have to pop the lid off in order to neutralize it  :D

That or prying the diamond out of a ring in order to have sharp edges so you cheat on the poker cards when you're undercover on a mission...
Or stripping wires to attach it to an analog alarm clock to create a diversion in order to escape the casino you're ripping off...
Or even stripping wires of an old steam locomotive's electrical system in order to stop the bad guys from using it to escape....

So many uses....

I must carry too many keys  I could never clip a small SAK or small MT to then without making the set feel to bulky :ahhh I do have one set that I don't pocket carry that I do have a Swiss tech set of pliers on but that is all  a that is probably the reason I don't carry them as well  :D

I picked up a old beater recently, my second but I've also gifted one to my girlfriend. This one has the serrations on the orange peeler but the file is double cut, making it my new favourite nail file.

For my older one and my girlfriend's I have added a cap lifter to the orange peeler.

I think I have somewhat of a prejudice towards it. Dunno. It is a good knife. But I just can't carry it by itself. Probably because I miss the opener layer. I even have disconsidered the Compact because of the Combo tool instead of the opener layer (I might reconsider it). But it IS a good knife, just doesn't meet my needs quite well.

You have arrived at the same place I'm sure many of us have.  Not the best all in one but despite that, it has an abnormally high coolness level.  In cold months I keep an Executive in the coat pocket as a backup.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Compact.  I said it before and I'll say it again, it is the king of urban EDC.

Yes it has a HIGH coolness factor. Maybe it's the different tools, people always seem more interested on the Executive than my Super Tinker.
It's also pretty sleek looking, more than any 91mm I think.
As for the Compact, it made me wonder if a Yeoman with added pliers would be good for urban carry. Or a Explorer with pliers. Pretty sure these already exist, I just don't know the name xD

I still keep my Executive in a drawer next to my EZ chair.  It works great for opening packages,  and finger nail maintenance.

I won't typically carry it because the high weight for its size,  and lack of good drivers.  But,  for desk use,  it's great.

The Executive might be an answer to a question nobody asked but if you're rather weary of management you might thinks that's about right.

And presumably as an Executive your PA will have a SwissChamp close at hand to fix all those corporate things that you leave messed and muddled up in your wake while you continue to peel oranges, file your nails and come up with bonus winning ideas.

Mind you I like mine anyway
