The Tourist is great, that's actually going to be my contribution tomorrow.

Please include a few pictures!

I learned about the TOURIST, on SAKWIKI, then jumped into the Sportsman search a paragraph later.

I have the EVO10 and 14 models, and really liked their implements and handle structure. Mine have the grip inlays.  Found both on the auction site.

Now you just need to find a Tourist.  That is the true 84mm Spartan.  Same tool set including two blades.  No nail file.  Discontinued, but not too hard to find.  I think there are two of us on the MacGyver using a Tourist.  (I think I actually like the Sportsman better.  Neat nail file.) Best wishes.  G
 :climber:

Thanks Gary 😜

Just when I think my OCD is winding down to a manageable level, I feel it ramping up now!!!

PS:  You are correct Gary, there several listed on the auction site.  TSA confiscated, pawn shops, other probably from estate sales.  Wide range of prices and even New in box listings.

So now, I have something to do the next few days. 😉

Here’s a picture of my stuff with an in-progress LEGO set I am working on with my 6 year old son.
:like: What item number was assigned to that set? I have at least a couple that use that "Calculator pattern" tile (that's what it's called at Bicklink). One will be seen in the appropriate Break Room thread soon.

All three were investigated by Chloe.
:dd:

Y'awl are doing a great job! Any luck with Woodswalker and that insolent washing machine?

The Woodswalker could be shifting disguises into other fur-bearing felonious freaks.  Maybe a bear.  Could be a lion.  Maybe even..... Lions, and tigers, and bears,.....  Oh my!
Best wishes.  G

Day 5

I usually carry duck tape wrapped around the case of my spare specs but would you believe that since starting the challenge I can’t find them, maybe fell out my bag :ahhh

Anyway it’s good having some wrapped around the lighter, adding the paperclip is handy too :tu:

I often kept a small paperclip under the SAK corkscrew so that’s definitely back for good, so easy and holds well

Saturday here in Sydney and after lots of rain and sun the grass definitely needed doing, plant trimming over the weekend to go

Not sure if you have Krogers grocery stores where you are, but that’s where I find them in Texas.
We have a Kroger, but I haven’t seen them there.  Might have to check again

Day 5

Agent 4198 password homework.  Protocol green.  The Woodswalker operation is concluded.  \par
Coordinated satellite surveillance and ground camera assets located subject.  Take-down team maneuvered into position and herded suspect into a sleeping gas trap.  Once WW was down, agents quickly moved in to remove the subject from the clever disguise.  One agent discovered the zipper to the deer suit and gave it a healthy tug.  As it unfortunately turned out it wasn't really a disguise, and the object being tugged on wasn't a zipper.  The genuine deer was roused from its sleeping state and proceeded to batter everyone within reach.  One agent is hospitalized.  Two more have hoof print shaped bruises.  And a few bite marks.  \par
After the suspect was...ah...released from custody, word came that Woodswalker never had been in the Carolinas at all.  A new hire at HQ finally admitted the mix up of Carolinas and Carolines.  The latter being a multitude of tiny islands in the Pacific Ocean.  That's how it goes.   \f1\fs22\par

Day 5

Yesterday welcomed two new SAKs to mix, a 91 Tinker and a 84 Sportsman.

During inspection, I noticed a pin hole near the Phillips pivot on the scales.  And, remembered that This was to house a straight pin, adding another gadget to the tool bag.

This morning, located the sewing kit, and located a box of straight pins, and began performing inspections.   Awl but my 84 Tinker had this feature. 😜

So, I now have an additional feature that MacGyver did not, (that I am aware)! 😎

Post inspection

And, I  then recalled I had a VICTORINOX wearable to add to a picture.  A new  TINKER, Blue SPARTAN, 84 Tinker, & a  BO SPIRIT along with my Mac kit.. to complete my kit.

The rebooted MacGyver may have had the pin hole, but RDA most likely did not. That feature was in limited use for a while, and added across the board about 2008. The Super Tinker I purchased new in 2008 has one.

Great work, y'awl!

My first SAK with back side implements is the Tinker 84 pictured.  It maybe came home with me in late 90s and was my only tool of the design until I joined MTo, that is when my wallet became thin, very thin

As promised, my 80s or who knows maybe earlier Tourist. Blade is rough aesthetically and the snap isn't as significant as my newer SAKs, BUT this has ZERO tool play in any tool. Very impressive.

Here's a couple more, with CyberTool for comparison.

I love the 84mm form factor. Not much of a fan of the Sportsman as I use the small blade so much and have no use for a file like that. My Tourist has the old clip point which I always liked.

A TOURIST is in route, found one I liked,  most listed are advertising pieces.   The one I purchased has something on the blade, not sure what, but for $1; and no s/h fee. Good deal.

Day 5, Mac is  going with a 2 layer 84 mm mod he thinks Victorinox should have made years ago.
