Yikes!  Swift recovery and great MacGyvering.

Day 16 - cat up

We made french bread pizza's for dinner so I needed to open up a can of pineapple.  (Yup, I'm one of those weirdos.)  I swear I'm much better at opening cans with the Wenger can opener.  I need a lot more practice with the Victorinox can opener than I realized.

(Image removed from quote.)

Pineapple pizza

The Wenger style is definitely easier to use without practice.

Day 18

I am really liking the Ranger Grip series. It is a BIG knife. This pairs nicely with a smaller knife like a Spartan or compact. The but driver is nice.  Like the spring loaded pliers,  even though they are small/ medium size,  but add some capability in a small package.

Still no duct tape or paperclip use... but a few more days left this month.

Big fan of the Ranger Grip pliers, probably the "weird Wenger" I like the best.

Day 18

It's opening weekend for the camper, so I brought the Workchamp for a little extra oomf. So far, it's opened combs (I cheated and used the Supertool a couple times).

Day 18
Received a upgrade part for my edc flashlight.  The Yeoman magnifier helped in determining what tool I needed for screwing on the pocket clip (T8 so required seperate tool).  The tweezers helped in adding a tritium to the slot on the switch.

Forgot to include the tape and paperclip in the picture, so took an additional picture on my walk.  Paper clip is under the end of the tape along with a safety pin

Day 18:
The weather was finally nice enough to give me motivation to install a set of Blink security cameras that I bought last fall. One of them wasn't connecting properly so I used my new custom Hiker's bottle opener to unscrew the back of the camera to remove the batteries to reset it.

I am also a fan of pineapple on pizza. That makes you, me, BPRoberts, and Sos24. I'm thinking MTo Hawaiian pizza party.

Took a 3 hour nap with my 2yo and watched it snow off and on from my recliner the rest of the day.
I'll take a pass on the snow. My neck of the woods hit 85 degrees today.

Also helped put on a sticker.
Tweezers are really helpful when applying the sticky labels to Lego pieces (especially the Speed Champions sets).

New Spartan, old Vagabond and new crossbody bag preparing for trip to delivery birthday goodies to son n law.
Happy birthday to your son-in-law, and that bag is pretty neat!

The Yeoman magnifier helped in determining what tool I needed for screwing on the pocket clip.
Is the magnifier in a brass housing?

More great stuff, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 18

An action shot would have been difficult but the flathead was just the right size to reattach a toilet seat that had worked itself loose on one side (and give the other side a good tightening too..)

My MIL and I are the only ones that like pineapple on our pizzas in our family.

Day 18

Tried again with the can opener on this can of corned hash.  I did "better" but I still need more practice.

Day 19

As promised, I finally got around to making pork and beans with pasta.  No pork in these beans.  (Actually there is almost no pork in the variety with pork) Rotini.  How much?  I used what was left in the box.  A little salt.  Cajun spice.  Coarse pepper.  A few tablespoons of pasta sauce to liven up the rather bland tomato sauce that the beans were packed with.
It was pretty good.  Not my favorite.  Evidently I put a little more Cajun spice than I thought.  It wasn't exactly incendiary, but it was pretty 'zippy'.
The movie reference about french fries and ketchup was to a scene in The Shining.  Just to put a period to that question, and move on.
There were a few knives in the display at W-mart.  First Victorinox Trekker that I have seen in the store.  One hand opener.  $68.  I have never seen, much less held, a 111mm.  Might have to ask for a lookie see when there is a salesperson around.  There was the usual red cell Tinker and a $24 Classic.  Best wishes.  G
