Softening leatherman pouch
on: April 08, 2026, 08:28:15 PM
Anyone have tips on household products I can use to feed and soften my LM leather pouch for my new PST II?

I've used vaseline before and would rather use something that I already own unless someone tells me this is completely the wrong thing to use and I should buy some neatsfoot oil instead.

I've used mineral oil on leather for many years.  It will soften the leather and if you get caught in the rain the water will bead and roll off rather than be absorbed.  I chose mineral oil because it is non-toxic and I often use my knives on food.
