Good to see so many great pics still being posted here. Though I'm not in this Challenge I found this little "sport" in my lawn and thought it deserved some recognition so I brought out my Black Explorer. I'm guessing it's a tiny pansy that's plucky enough to hide from my mowing.

Thanks for following along Fast Bill! :hatsoff:

I always am amazed at the number of implements available on the Swisschamp. Chisel is one of my favorites.

Day 27
I am not entirely satisfied with the Champion scissors,so sharpened again, and tested on a flannel rag. In my experience,a sharp scissors cuts fabric cleanly, and a really sharp scissors cuts a flimsy fabric [voile, chiffon, that sort of thing] cleanly. Even a dullish scissors will cut paper. And if you don't know this already, don't strop a scissors,or do anything to the flat side, man the times i'd have to repair smurfed up scissors sharpened this way

I had multiple scissors and mag glass use today, here's an action shot at the daily dressing change  :D

What is the correct technique? I have no experience with scissors sharpening. Thank you!

Ok,so this my experience, I've sharpened a fair amount,and it's what I've learnt.
For general use scissors (not speciality scissors),you only sharpen the blades, and match,or try to match, the established sharpening bevels, and leave the burr that is formed with whatever sharpening system used.I use a belt grinder for most, and spyderco "sticks" (freehand) for SAK or Leatherman scissors.
Some older scissors have a hollow bevel on the inside of the blades,if the edge is too bad (incorrectly sharpenened) then this bevel has to be reground. If the blades are flat, and edge is toast,it has to be recut (matching the edge angle) past the inconsistencies.
I've sharpened curved surgical scissors as well (using fine abrasive belts) and so far,the surgeons haven't complained (I guess their patients, being animals, don't really notice a difference  :D).
I've also sharpened pinking shears, the inside of the blade has to be "ground".
I always use fine abrasives for all scissors (in the 800 to 1000 grit range).
Btw,that silly trick to sharpen a Micra by cutting foil or sandpaper doesn't work where the scissors is blunt.
Fortunately,I have a set of parsing tools and I'm able to disassemble and resharpen correctly.
Hope this helps.

Great! Thanks for sharing!
I sharpen knives on regular basis but I never tried scissors - I have to try it now.
