3d Phillips opposite two openers on a 93mm alox SAK
on: April 13, 2025, 01:56:52 PM
This lovely mod initially invented by Syph007 I believe looks great and I fancy trying it in a mod using a Farmer X as the donor. I have two opener springs as required but when I test fit the Phillips sits way to high on them. I can find mention of what modification is needed to get the Phillips to sit down in the right position. To save ruining a tool or the springs could anyone let me know if it is best to file the nubs on the tool down until it sits at the right height in open and closed position? Or better to adjust the springs where the tool sits? Cheers

I don't have a picture at hand but basically you have to modify the pivot area of the Phillips so that it matches the profile of the bottle opener. The inner side of the bottom is what determines the resting position so I suggest making small adjustments to this one until the Phillips sits right (the other sides can be done just by lining the tools for comparison).
