It's available as an eBook on Amazon, but here's a link to the 656 page on elsinox: https://elsinox.com/VICTORINOX-ELSENER,-Schwyz/74-mm/No-656-executive-director-companion/

Looking through some old U.S. catalogues in the wiki, the 656 was called Companion up to the 1980s; the Executive in the 50s to 70s was a 58mm with a nail file, scissors, and a blade. In the 80s, the Companion was a 58mm with scissors.

Wow thanks for posting the link to the Elsinox site, I've never seen that  before.  My go-to font of all SAK-related knowledge has always been SAKWiki but this site looks to be very informative.

Nice collection! 74 is my favorite size. I'm kind of embarrassed to say I have over 70 now (it's definitely not a problem), but I've seen some collections here that makes mine seem small. The little buggers are addictive.

My small 74mm collection.  The black Alox Moneyclip is brand new never used, the silver and red Alox's are also Moneyclips, used but in great condition.  The blue cellidor is an Executive that was in excellent condition, I swapped out the scales to the blue ones.

After founding this beauty, i became a Fan of the 74mm's again, replacing my beloved 84mm Secretary. I missed often a small tool for little prying, like a "bionic Fingernail". so the Nailfile comes handy.
Its a Windsor, but i guess with silverplating, because it has a "835" stamp on it.

According to a silver merchant on the web, “ The stamp “835” imprinted on silver is the code for silver items produced in the countries of Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal.”, so I would say that they’re still sterling silver 925 and not plated. Silver isn’t that expensive a metal, especially since the collapse of its use in photography, and silver plating isn’t as common as it was in the 19th and early 20th centuries especially for cutlery - stainless steel replaced it from its invention in Sheffield in the 1920s, much easier to look after!

so its solid silver? Thats makes in more appealing.
But my knowledge is, that 835 names the puridity. It means that 835 Parts of 1000 are silver. The rest is copper and/or nickle.

The Bladestamp of "VICTORINOX SWITZERLAND STAINLESS ROSTFREI" means it cant be produced after 1980, when the company made the "V" Capital
V-Form spring on the scissors says it must be produced after 1975.
(Also the used screw on the scissors date it before 1991, when they start using rivets.)
So i date it between 1975-1980. The Blade has also a "Reuters" imprint.

Some beauties from my collection: Escort, Executive (Companion), Lady Victoria, Money Clip, and a Prince that's seen more use than the others.

I love all the 74s, but the red smooth Alox ones are so pretty.

Thank you! I just can't resist buying a 74mm if the price is reasonable. I now have 78 of them, with another one on the way. I don't have a problem though. 🤪

I added a new color Executive today, blue Alox. The Alcan branding doesn't bother me. I have another black Alcan executive from the early 60s already in my collection. I swear, I think Alcan must have bought half the Executives made in the 60s and 70s.

Once again, I couldn't stop myself from buying this one. I may need a support group. Oh wait, I'm in one. Thank you Swiss Army Knights for supporting my habit!

Thank you. I love the smooth Alox scales in blue. This will be a nice one to carry with a Spartan or Sportsman.
