I'm interested (and horrified) - where did the Mike and Benner lard & chicken dance come from?  How did it start?

Will the answer scare and disgust me?  Probably... but I want to know anyway.

We found the chickens wings weren't wide enough to stop the whole bird disappearing on insertion :-\
