I also noticed some other changes.  Wingman is down to $49.95 ($20 decrease).  The largely unloved Rev is now $44.95.  Those are prices from the Leatherman site.  I can't speak to the other changes, but there seem to be some others.  Best wishes.  G

Interesting, very interesting GARY

The BOND is even better tool at the new price point.

Wingman as well.

Something must be changing at LM, leaning toward their LIFESTYLE, theme they hinted when the WAVE ALPHA was released.

Steel availability could be another issue.

Imagine a BOND made with MAGNACUT or M390 or other powder steel blades. Over kill in my mind.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Monday BONDay  :hatsoff:

No better way to start the week, slip a BOND INTO YOUR BAG, your pocket, or sheath!

This is my kitchen BOND, serves as my finger extension to open plastic packaging, slicing envelopes of seasoning or just being a reliable needle nose plier when needed.

Here with my knife, a black CADET, coffee and a snack of sour cream donut holes…

I did some things outside, and dropped my Wingman in a pocket.  I thought about carrying a Bond, but didn't go back to the house for it.  I cut a small diameter coat hanger with the W-man.  It did a poor job.  I wonder if it would have cut a hanger with thicker wire.  I had to squeeze the handles hard and wiggle them back and forth to execute the cut.  I will try a Bond on the same wire and see how it does.  It couldn't do any worse.  Best wishes.  G

While I was out today, I tried my Bond wire cutter on the same smaller diameter coat hanger wire.  It cut better than the Wingman.  At least I didn't have to wring the pliers back and forth to complete the cut.  I am used to better wire cutters than what Leatherman provides.  At least on their models without something like carbide cutters.  The handles are uncomfortable when you put lots of pressure on them.  Gloves or something would make it better.  Like most of the Leatherman tools, they work when you don't have anything else handy but not first choice for work applications.  Generally speaking.
There was a member on here who posted a photo of a L-Man with heavy stranded cable.  The sort of thing used to brace a power pole.  He said something about cutting them with his L-Man.  It might have been a joke.  King Kong couldn't have cut that multi-strand cable with any plier based multi.  Probably just being funny.  I've told some whoppers on here too.
I remember using a bolt cutter that was used to cut re-bar.  The ancient thing was sitting on the ground under a shed.  Bottom lever had wide iron feet that kept it from turning over or sinking in the ground. What you did was lean on the top lever (bottom lever was static, right).  The top handle was probably 8 feet long.  Measure off the length that the customer wanted and heave ho.  I bet the stores now have some sort of abrasive power tool to do the same thing.
Best wishes.  G

Big storm here starting about 5AM.  Sounded like hail.  Lots of thunder, etc.  Heavy rain.  That sort of thing means walking down the dreary Werecoyote Trail.  Some small stuff in the road.  Nothing too big to heave out of the way.
I need to get rid of some of these small potatoes and use up an onion or two before they go bad.  I looked around and verified I have all the ingredients of a potato salad.  Might make enough for two days while I am at it.  Best wishes.  G

:like:   What a sharp looking BOND my FRIEND!

In my area, high winds yesterday again.  Then more wind this morning and temps dropped from 60°F to 34° now.

No food this morning, until latest scan is completed at 12:30P.

So I just can offer this scenic view…

Good luck with the scans, Gordon.  I will say a prayer for you.  The Werecoyote Trail driveway was mostly clear.  What little work and the walking around must have sharpened my appetite somewhat .  I finished off the biggest part of my potato salad as of about 2 minutes ago.
The road is a nice muddy mess.  Probably freeze into ice tonight.  One of our friends said he wanted to send me a cute pockey knife.  I regretfully had to tell him I couldn't get Amazonians up my driveway.  I remember last time an A- driver lady tried to come up and had to give up on the quarter mile of Jeep trail after about 25 feet.  The road doesn't REALLY get bad until the last couple hundred yards.
Being able to play with a new toy did sound good.  Having some delivery vehicle blocking my driveway until they could call for a tow wasn't something I was willing to risk.  So, I thanked the member for their very kind offer and asked them to cancel.  I did stick out my bottom lip and mope around a while.
       Best wishes.  Gary

This should be the last scan, I hope.   A second PET SCAN with a new nuclear dye.
The blood test detect values confirming “C”, but first scan was 100% clear, same as the one the previous year.

Then a MRI, it too was clear.

So then a BONE SCAN , head to toe.   Clear as well.

So now today.

Good thing, no pain, no symptoms, just blood test reporting activity.  Just can not locate to know what to treat.

I understood that sweet girl from AMAZON did have a 4 wheel drive and tried to run the high center rail and one shoulder when pot hole grabbed her.   She was Davy enough to back out.

You need to get that lane leveled off.  Unless it is a defensive strategy.  lol!

A quiet MONDAY, gathering tax documents or convert garage from WINTER tasking to SUMMER!

Pros and Cons either way.

The BOND will factor in however I decide to roll.

I remember someone asked if the Bond was a heavy-duty tool.  I'm not too sure how to answer that.  It is as strong as the old PST.  I guess it depends on that person's definition of heavy-duty.
In the L-man catalog it lists the 4.5 inch tools like Surge and Super Tool 300 as professional grade.  Also the 4 inch Rebar.  That might be one answer to heavy-duty.
Best wishes.  G

My perspective is slightly different.

The PST, was the first version.  A plier based multitool that can assist if the actual tools in a tool box are not convient.

The SuperTool was the larger version, compact but with a heavier duty tool set.

Revisions occurred in the ST line, including the ST200 and the ST300 being the current HEAVY DUTY tool that evolved.

That was branch one.

A second branch, developed from the PST II.

The PULSE, about the same time as the ST200.
Then the WAVE, the WAVE 2, the WAVE +, SURGE and CHARGE.   With more variants being developed yet today.

Yet, ST300 seemed to check many of the features that satisfied a simple but capable Heavy Duty tool set.  Per requests for a smaller package, the REBAR was released. A smaller model identical the big brother ST300.

Years later with revisions other than a knifeless model. A non-locking tool set like the original PST was requested.

The BOND was released, capable as the REBAR, but in a lighter, but capable form.  You could call the BOND a REBAR Lite!  Same implements, similar handle Size and compatible with the Bit kit adapter used by the REBAR and ST300.

Nothing fancy;  PST, SuperTool, ST200, ST300, REBAR, then the BOND (REBAR Lite)😁

That is my perspective.  Maybe wrong but it is how my mind works.

I actually started with the ST300 In my trades career, then added a REBAR for home and a smaller alternative on my belt.   After a couple years after the BOND was release I tried it since I was retired.

Then started finding the originals, just to relive the evolution.

Today, the ST300, REBAR and the BOND are my goto for appropriate tasks.

The others are capable, and functional, yet like me, more retired.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Back down in the mid 30's again.  My 'woobie' jacket was too dirty to hang back in the closet, so I used it for a background.  I haven't washed this thing all winter, since it is so stinkin hard to dry.
I used the Opi as a prop to get a little color in the photo.  Bond is in my pocket today.  As soon as the sun comes out, I need to trim some shrubs.  I might just wear the dirty jacket if it hasn't warmed up much outside.  Best wishes.  Gary
