Corkscrew Screwdriver
on: February 19, 2009, 02:50:05 AM
Was thinking of buying one of the Wenger Evogrip knives.  Love the look.  I was wondering if anyone knows if the tiny screwdriver that fits inside the corkscrews on Victorinox knives will also fit the Wenger units?  If they do I might pick one of them up at the same time.  Thanks in advance.

Just tested it.  Yes, but it's a tight fit.

Btw, I like my Wenger S557.  Very nice tool.

great thanks for the info.  Will give it a whirl when I get to the store and see how it fits with the model I am looking at either the s10 or 14.

take care,
Sean

If you can, get a locking blade model.

Most of the time they will fit, unless you are dealing with an older model. There are also older Victorinox models that they will not fit in...they have screws with an extra turn in them.

They will fit in a Juice worm too...

yup, But the fit is a little bit on the loose side.

You could probably tune the fit by adding a layer of JB weld inside the groove...

I wonder though if something like a silicone sealant or some small dots of GOOP might not be better...it would be more flexible and grip better.
