Spartan RT?

According to the sakwiki this shouldn’t exist. I found it on eBay recently and thought it was a Climber RT without the scissors pulled out. Nope, it’s a Spartan with soft touch scales and the logo on the blade. I can’t see any signs that the scales have been removed and I don’t want to damage them trying to see if it was a custom build. Anyone ever seen one of these before?
