Day 6

The Opinel No. 12 came out of hiding yesterday, and the Spartan was used to show scale in a photo posted elsewhere. Here's a slightly different photo, showing a Spartan tool that's unlikely to see use.

Merit Badges Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Now I thought you would make good use of the cork screw considering your fancy knot tying skills making lanyards and such.

I did reference YouTube channel frequently, but my fingers no longer have the dexterity of my younger days (4 years ago or so)
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Well, it looks like Powernoodle beat me to it with this one. What do you do when you have a Spartan with no scales and a set of emerald green scales with no knife? It's like 2 great tastes that taste great together.

Funny that you mention Cracker Barrel. I live in VA now but my best friend travels to MI quite often. He's been looking for cane sugar Vernors for me for 2 or 3 years when he's up there. Know where he found some? At Cracker Barrel... in Durham NC. Unfortunately, our local CB doesn't carry it but there's one about 30 minutes away that can order it. Thank goodness! I love that stuff. The HFC Vernors just doesn't taste right.

I tend to prefer the Tinker to the Spartan because it substitutes a real, 3D phillips driver for the Spartan's corkscrew, but I cannot say there is any practical difference for me because the can opener tip works so well on phillips screws.  The Tinker's back-mounted phillips would be better for recessed screws, but being on the back of the SAK can make it somewhat awkward (awlkward?) to use.  So really there is not that much difference.  Plus, I'm still carrying an ARC for anything I could not do with the Spartan, and so far that has been zero things.
