The two layers of the SPARTAN Carrie’s almost infected in my pocket.  Plus there is normally a BOND, REBAR, or SPIRIT MXBS within reach or clipped on a pocket.

I do have a SAK kit, two SAKs in a belt pouch that slip in my suit case (checked bag) when leaving the. Country, was a A CLIMBER and a SPARTAN, but now I pulled the SPARTAN and replaced with a 91mm TINKER just for the Phillips.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

My Tinker days ended when I had to screw a network switch into a rack and could not turn the Tinker's Phillips in the confined space, but finished the job with the can opener.

Now I only have one Tinker left (because I like the curiosity of the can key), but about a dozen Spartans.

Slide one of those Jarritos my way, por favor.

I tend to prefer the Tinker to the Spartan because it substitutes a real, 3D phillips driver for the Spartan's corkscrew, but I cannot say there is any practical difference for me because the can opener tip works so well on phillips screws.  The Tinker's back-mounted phillips would be better for recessed screws, but being on the back of the SAK can make it somewhat awkward (awlkward?) to use.  So really there is not that much difference.  Plus, I'm still carrying an ARC for anything I could not do with the Spartan, and so far that has been zero things.

An inline phillips is prolly my #1 tool for that reason.  And there aren't that many SAKs with them.  #ExplorerPlus

My favorite use of the small blade, opening a package with more SAKs in it.

@LoopCutter: I have some paracord waiting to be introduced to the corkscrew. And great minds think alike...

@Kenj111: great mug! :tu: There is a Tim Horton's within an easy walk from my house. It's a shame I can't justify such indulgences.

@z1913: I love those dark green scales!

@Yanossauro: I used to heft those 20L/5-gallon bottles around pretty regularly. These days I prefer a Brita pitcher.

@Barry Rowland: I know only too well how life can get. I'm getting to this post later than I figured I would...and I would have missed the first hour of the Tigers-Mariners game if it weren't delayed.

@psyjohn: I'll head over there. I know it'll be good!

Day 7

The first two photos were taken last night. This time the cap didn't fly away before I could get an action shot.

I can only wish Kroger carried a larger variety of Jarritos.

During this MTo'ing session, my door buzzer went off. Turns out my household goods were delayed by a day. It looked like Christmas in here for a brief while.

This microwave is smaller than I'd like, and I'm not a fan of turntables, but it'll definitely get the job done. Speaking of jobs, the first one was to set the clock to 24-hour format and se the time.

Day 8

Another Spartan with a green scales, but this one has extra features - Spartan Lite! Still Spartan by name.
I got the knife several months back when this model was about to be discontinued.
On paper the SAK with light did not sound overly appealing to me - you have light in you phone or you can have easily great torch on your keychain, right?
But in reality I really like it - it is in your pocket, easy to deploy, not a strong light but just enough to be useful and all in one package with a good knife with inline philips driver.
The only thing I did not like were the original ruby scales. For some reason the red see through scales does not work for me on a larger SAKs. I really like them on 58s, I love the sapphire scales on my cybertool, but the ruby ones are not for me so I replaced them with green plus scales.
The green scales on pictures look almost black so I added a real black scales for comparison.

That's one of the things I love about my Swisschamp, one of the reasons it spent 18 years in my belt, but now I don't live at the farm anymore, so something slimmer to fit in the watch pocket does the trick. As a coincidence, I almost bought my first Explorer yesterday.

An inline phillips is prolly my #1 tool for that reason.  And there aren't that many SAKs with them.  #ExplorerPlus

Here in Brazil we call the Spartan Lite a "Snake's foot". Guess why?

With two active, growing boys, plus a very thirsty old codger (myself), a long haired dog and two menopausing women in the house in the beginning of summer, 20l a day sometimes just isn't enough, and i don't trust the quality of my building's well (OK, its tested every 3 months, but still) to put in a cooling filter, so here we go.

Next time I'm visiting my sister in the US I'll look for that pineapple Jarritos. Looks Yummy!

Day 10:

Had to open a package of coxinhas (if you don't know what they are, boy you're missing) for my boy's collective snack at school.

@z1913: I sure do like that dark green. If only I could find 111mm scales in that color.

@Yanossauro: I think you'll like pineapple Jarritos. And I want to try coxinhas now!

@UscgSal: :rofl:

I have a Swiss Champ that does the same thing buddy.  Never not prepared!
Like PN, there's rarely an opportunity that the Spartan hasn't conquered.  I sure like how it carries!

Great pics and uses everyone!  I'm still looking for a volunteer to lead the mini challenge this weekend, if there's an interest in such a thing.  Let me know either way.
Day 8: Tightening the handle on my sliding glass door with the can opener tip.  The screw slot is just a bit too small for the caplifter.
