I had a Woodsman with scales just like those.  They're beautiful!  Yessir, we got some rain last night, but the sun is beginning to show itself :D

I'm getting to the same conclusion.
And noticed that every time I really needed something like scissors I just needed to go open a drawer.

I thought I'd miss some of the other tools, like the pliers and scissors, but I really haven't.  It's amazing how much you can do with a minimal tool set.

My boy wanted some sliced calabrian sausage for lunch,  so I tried Bluey on it.

Day 18 - coffee mini challenge ☕☕ my favorite cup of Timmies coffee...
:like: There is a Tim Horton's just down the road from me. I'd be in there frequently if I wasn't chronically broke.

I wish the Spartan knife was named differently 😀.
There is not a doubt in my mind that every University of Michigan fan and alumnus would agree with you. (Their biggest rival is Michigan State University, whose mascot is...the Spartans.)

The SPARTAN basked in the sun, (really just show of the red scales!!!)

Day 20

From the "never underestimate the SAK" files...

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I got some furniture delivered today. At some point between being packaged up in Malaysia and coming to my apartment, the Allen key disappeared. I knew right off the bat that finger-tightening the fasteners were not going to suffice. I don't have any Allen keys on hand, so I decided to see if the can opener's screwdriver tip would work. It folded up on me a few times and probably got damn close to stripping out the fasteners...but it got the job done. The second photo shows the Spartan on a dining room/temporary office chair.

@Farmer X - I try to avoid going too much but it's hard to resist sometimes! You must live close to Canada

Day 20:

Spartan along side an early 2000s Wenger Eloxy/Patriot. This one I believe is 85mm and SUPER thin, just disappears in the pocket ! I try not to carry it too much in order to preserve the alox scales from wear and tear  :salute:

Day 21

Busy on day 20 after plant care with errands and grabbed mail after parking SUV in garage last night.

This morning mail was noticed, a package 🤩, tucked between some flyovers.  So
Spartan Silver Tech did the honors!
I honestly forgot I ordered this last week, an impulse buy for sure.     Oh my🫣 I now have a problem…

A EXPLORER!   ,  a CLIMBER arrived earlier last week or was that the week before   and then the SPARTAN that was to be a CLIMBER the package before that.

Hello, my name is Loop… and I know I need help…

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

It awl started with a CLIMBER found in a pawn shop still in the package, and a MacGyver challenge.

Then knowing the SPARTANS were gathering in October, I bought a SilverTech model new on River site.
Then PowerNoodle showed his new one with a 58 model of some version.  Vertigo locked on!

Then a CLIMBER, looks new, awl because a seller label an item wrong, I had to search after that 2nd Sparty Silver arrived.

Then I am certain a bot pointed out this Explorer , getting my attention.  A seller I have dealt with prior, must selling  a collection I can only imagine!

Silver, Sapphire, Ruby, White, Black, Walnut, andd Rd know somebody showing a emerald green :iagree: :assimilate:
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 21

One implement I have not used,  ever,  is the small blade. I like to keep it as a razor sharp back up. Does anyone else do the same or do you find uses for it?

I agree with others that you can accomplish lots of work with a small set of implements. I have needed pliers, so a few times I have needed a small pair of Knipex, but so far the Spartan has handled 95% of my needs,  which surprises me a little. Main thing I thought I would miss is scissors,  but so far it has not been an issue.

^  I use the pen blade frequently for many small tasks and leave the main blade sharp and dandy
For occasions a larger blade will best deliver results.

A smaller blade is easier to apply and edge or perform a simple stropping to restore an edge than the full length of the main blade.

Same principle just different logic applied.

Day 23:

I'll keep the serrated on me for the rest of the week. As it is my second favourite Spartan, I tried to accessorize it a bit.

In the very distant past  I tried to follow the same principle as you, but as I grew older, I noticed that it was the very opposite that happened: I use the small blade for almost everything, while the big one stays in the backstage waitingo for food eating/prepping or wood carving.
