Day 25

I slept in this morning, and slow moving into the day!

Catching up on my MTo reading, now hungry for sausage, mustard on a hoagie bun!!!!

Today my selected carry will be my TOURIST!
A 84mm version of the SPARTAN (pictured right).

It is awl-most identical. Missing scale implements and no key ring or even a fixture bump.

And, a PEN BLADE, not a nail file like its cousin the SPORTSMAN.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Day 26

I spent the day mostly outside. First walk in nearby arboretum with many trees species from around the world. I liked the leaves of this tree from North America

And then some yard work - this thick and woody stalk was no match to the S101 large blade

Two nice examples of full leaves.

Tulip Trees are usual a bright yellow each fall in my area.

That is beautifully shaped OAK leave as well.  The acorns I found around them would gathered up and I used for ammunition for my sling shot.

My son has several OAK TREES on his property, must rake up the acorns before mowing near his trees, otherwise the acorns can ruin his mower blades your worst yet be propelled out the side of his mulching bag and shoot out a window on his house.  Crazy!

It turned out really well!
Our cabin, where we spent this weekend, is not far from town of Přeštice, which is famous for a local pig breed (přeštické černostrakaté). That breed  has a high content of fat in the muscles - probably not very healthy but very tasty. I sourced the sausage in that town.

Special breed of BLACK and WHITE pigs?

Read about them, being amazingly delicious!
No not healthy, but shucks I reached 72, (this Friday) might else well enjoy !!!

If so, I would need no mustard.  A good red wine and flavorful cheese to complement with potatoes on the side should be ample.
If no wine, then a good beer will do.

These have been my most used implements so far in this challenge.  Have really been surprised how well I have gotten by this month shh the Spartan toolset. I would not even call it minimal as it has truly accomplished everything I have needed that doesn't need pliers.

Me too!  I can see why the producers of MacGyver outfitted him with either a Spartan or a Tinker most of the time.  It keeps you creative and really covers most of your daily uses.

Day 27

Meeting downtown today to review a change in Medicare Advantage Health Plans.

The desk I was sitting at had loose drawer pulls, my OCD kicked in, the the flat blade easily tighten 3 screws, then was caught doing the fourth. ☺️.

Told I could stay and check awl desks during lunch so not to disturb staff during their work period.   Instead showed the rep my SPARTAN and the cap lifter/flat driver, he could find one at Meijer’s and I would step aside so he could be the hero.    :hatsoff:

No, no medicine, strong oil therapy, minty.

Sinus stimulation, clears sinus passages like good old Vick vapor sticks when we had a cold back when younger.

I think people do think they are getting a kick.

But I read the package, just essential oils.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

I used Mr. Blue to open a package with some Halloween costume stuff for my daughter.

Day 27

I used the cap lifter a couple times this evening. I really like this Standard and I think the advertising looks kinda cool. I guess this is a Standard, I don't know. It doesn't have  scale tools or a keyring, but I've read that some Standards have a keyring. I have a couple Spartans with no scale tools, so which are they? Hmmm... I suppose it doesn't matter either way.
