I was looking at this just out of interest , a new Leatherman Mini in clam shell for $10us  :o :o

I watched that one I just couldnt see paying almost $12 bucks for shipping when I only pay about $5 for shipping a PST!!!!

For eBay savvy lot here's question. Does the fact that it says 1 bid mean that he just bid the first minimun and didn't set max price? When I bid $9.99 for example as a first minimun bid and set max say at $20 it shows up as 2 bids. Thx V  :cheers:

Most likely that is what he did or he just bid the max he wanted and let it increase as someone else attempted to out bid. In his case though no one challenged his bid so he shows only 1 bid. typically if I see something I want I set the price at a little over what the starting price is then if I see it starting to get some bids I will input it to my max and let it go from there.

this is the way I have found for me to reduce the bidding wars I could get into and then paying a lot more for something than I originally intended.

Yeah the shipping was a bit steep :o I got a used one for just a little more than what he paid for shipping ::) but that is the bottom line isn't it used It was in great shape but not new

I would have given that any day of the week for a new one though :cheers: I always count the shipping in on my final price that I would pay for anything

Some ppl don't count there shipping when they bid and that's just crazy if I pay a dollar for something and pay 8 dollars to ship thenI say I gave 9 bucks for it :D It does sounds better to say I just gave a dollar for it though :D

I agree on the shipping I just bought a gently used PST II for $20 and it was shipped for $3 so thats why I cant really pay almost $12 for shipping.
