No 84mm! :o  You need to buy some more SAKs.  :D

As to how it happens I suspect it is down to looking for that perfect SAK.  Finding the balance between function and size.  After all if all we wanted was functions all we would buy is a Swisschamp, Mini-Champ, WorkChamp etc.  Then you have to buy the right SAK for the environment you find yourself in; urban, rural, party, work, etc.  Then you can buy ones that are different colours, scale material, limited editions etc.  Then you can end up buying retired SAKs............ :ahhh

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I think it's because there such a bargain :) You really do get an awful lot of utility for not a lot off money, and there fiddle factor is about as high as  you can get :)

I think Wengers are an aquired taste, there built quality is on a par with Vics nowadays, but they do have very love it or loathe it features :-\ For example there pliers are better than there Vic equivelent, and the design of the scissors is too, but they made the scissors serrated so you never get a smooth cut, which is a bit of a deal breaker for me :(

Having said that I've got a few Wenger's now, but the real special ones that I really recommend would be a EVO GRIP S54, a SI and a Mini Grip, and if you lucky enough to live in a free country ::), a Swissgrip is a must
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

Want to hear something funny?  I went through most of my life with only one SAK!  Then, for quite a few years I had only three- my first (a Camper) the SwissGrip and a Midnight Manager.  Somehow, they have multiplied into literally hundreds over the last few years.

I believe the problem is most of you are searching for the right tool set.

The problem, of course, is defining that perfect tool set.

Most of you simply have a mental block which will never be satiated until you happen upon the one tool that eludes you.

They are great value for the money :tu: Before I ever owned a real one I never knew they were as good a quality as they were

All I ever had was the el Cheapos :o and they turned me away from getting one until recently and you guys talked so highly of them :gimme: and here we are now :ahhh :D

I think you've got me figured out!

I've got a swisschamp and it's fantastic - all the tools that I expect to need. But, I still think I would find an explorer useful for when I want to travel a bit lighter. And a scientist would be good. And a blue swisschamp would be nice....

And so it goes on :D
