First Time Modder Swiss Army Outrider

Hello all,

I am a new member and this is my first post so hello! I have been wanting to purchase an outrider but I really like to multipurpose hook. I was reading a post from 2019-2021. It never really concluded and the site told me I should make a new post so here I am. I’ve never modded an SAK beyond new scales. What I would like to do is mod an outrider to add the hook to the back and for the front tool I am okay with anything from pliers, to fish scaler to the file. I understand I’ll need some donor parts for the tools but I’m not sure on liners, pins or springs. I was hoping for some help. I.E. - a parts list and maybe a good video or work instruction. Thank you all in advance and happy to have joined.

Welcome. Get yourself bigger 111mm and slim it down so you dont need to worry about pins
While opening the bigger one you can compare the hook to other tools and see which layer it fits in

Petri gave you good advice, and I'll expand on that with how I'd approach such a mod. I'd find a junker 91mm with the hook (that should be easy) and take it apart to see how everything fits together. A cursory look at SAKWiki leads me to believe that no 111mm has left the factory with the hook. If so, you're going to have to fabricate or modify something to get the hook in an Outrider.
