I Herodotus's account of Egypt a couple years ago and remember it being interesting. Might have to go find the whole thing and read it at some point.

Neighbor's birthday cookout. One from Grant's homeland, eh?

Missed the boat on the mini-challenge. Still mad at myself for not getting a pic while I was digging out roots and stuff on Saturday. Might get a posed shot at some point. Anyone have any others to suggest? Otherwise I'll come up with one or two more.

I've learned to appreciate that brute of a flathead.

Day 59: Yes, one thing that always stood out was that Herodotus actually claimed that there was an Egyptian colony in what is now The Caucasus. I love his Histories but I've learnt to take it with a (pretty big) grain of salt — I think a lot of his info was second- or even thirdhand.

Really good things vol. 3 has what is, in my opinion, one of the greatest albums ever recorded. All Tomorrow's Parties, Sunday Morning, Venus in Furs (made all the worse because that's my mother's name), and my personal favourite, Heroin. I could listen to this album on repeat and it would never get old. I've never really been the biggest fan of Nico's voice, but the work as a whole is one of the most incredible monuments to music (and maybe drugs?) I'm familiar with.

Mine, too, eh! (Maybe I can sneak this one in as day 60, so as to start catching up )

"73" being a radio term, this is a good day to feature my Kenwood TK-280 VHF commercial radio.
