Sorry you are having issues with your ARC. I just checked one of mine. While there is a little bit of wiggle when holding the handles, there is zero play on mine when just holding each side of the plier head and trying to make it wiggle. I cannot get the cutters to bind or hit each other.I suggest that you don't try to tighten it yourself. You may want to go on Leatherman's website and start a return. They should take care of you. Its a little bit of a hassle, especially on a $250 MT, but it will be worth it to get it right in the end. Good luck.
Thank you for checking your ARC. I’ll likely send it back for warranty, unfortunately. I was so excited about this ARC being solid. It’s already been very useful at the very least.
when you send it remove bits from it, they replace those and you got spare ones
Hope the repair goes smoothly and you've soon got your Arc back!I just checked mine: there's a small wiggle in the handles and a tiny, tiny - maybe 1mm - wiggle when holding the plier heads but it's certainly nowhere near close to letting the wire cutter blades touch one another.
Had my FREE P4 and sent it back for a full refund. The head of the pliers got worse and worse in the pivot area.
Very strange, because the tool is basically new. It seems the best way was to return it for a full refund, saying you just don't like it, if only you knew that their 30-day return policy is a complete joke, because there is no mention whatsoever that the tool must be new and not used.
