For me, the main attraction of Vics is all the tools.  If I’m going with blade(s) only, there are better options out there IMO.

I feel exactly the same way.

To each their own  :salute:

I like this model and the Alox solo with my Spirit butter blade.  The 2 is great for the garden and I used mine quite a lot last season. We didnt have a garden this year unfortunately.

I don't think there are any Victorinox models that I don't like.  Wenger too, for that matter.  I used to put in a big garden and share stuff with my neighbors.  I have too many varmints around the house now to put in a garden.  I miss walking outside and pulling an onion or a pepper to go with a meal.  Or some leaf lettuce.  Or a nice Roma tomato.  Too much trouble for only one person now.  Sigh.
Best wishes.  G

It can work well as a dual carry, particularly with a bladeless SAK or a 58mm that only has a tiny knife.

As a standalone knife I think it has some things going for it. Namely it gives you a usefully sized blade in a package that is only 9mm thick and weighs 48g, and is legal to carry in most countries. And as a bonus you have a secondary blade if your main is blunt / needs cleaning / gets broken.

I quite like the little pruning blade. The curved tip is handy now and again. The other week I used it to cut the foil on a bottle of wine, as the corkscrew available had a very blunt foil cutter on it.

I am quite partial to the pruning blade on the Alox.  It’s handy.
