World Series Baseball

Is anyone else watching the World Series?

Naturally I'm hoping the Jays take it tonight, but which ever way it goes I don't think anyone can claim this hasn't been a hell of an entertaining season.

With no TV and not being local to either team, it's kinda hard to watch it, though I am grudgingly rooting for the Jays. I was rooting for the Tigers, and I didn't expect them to force a nail-biter of a winner-take-all ALDS. Then I was rooting for either the Mariners or the Jays, as neither has won a World Series.

The Jays have won twice, back to back in '92 and '93.

The Expos would have likely taken the series in '94 had there not been a strike/lock out that cancelled the season.

You are correct. Somehow I typed Jays when I meant to type Brewers.

Tonight marks the last MLB game of the year. But football, basketball, and hockey are all running. I wonder how the Red Wings will do this year.

That makes more sense.   :D

I am not much of a baseball fan, but I tend to get involved when the Jays are doing well.  Win or lose tonight I have to say that this has been a great series, and while I would very much like to see the Jays win, I am not disappointed in the series so far.  Fans have gotten their money's worth this year for sure.   :tu:
