SAKs and bacon
on: November 25, 2025, 03:58:49 AM
For a while, it seemed as if bacon was a challenge staple. In honor of that challenge staple and delicious foodstuff, I am hereby anointing the SAKs and bacon thread. Let's see your favorite SAKs with some delicious bacon!

This seems like a good reason to buy some bacon, but will my wife agree

:hatsoff: And Canadian bacon would be perfectly acceptable herein, too.

Why would your wife disagree?

Here's a photo of a Bantam with some bacon that was eatn just after the photo was taken. If it looks a little rough, that's because the dumbass who cooked it forgot that cast-iron pans need much less heat than a non-stick one.

Why would your wife disagree?

She is amenable to eating most forms of pig, including the ears (a country girl y'see), but she doesn't like bacon much.

Don't understand it myself.

My olive quiche is demanded by the family every Thanksgiving and Christmas morning, and the recipe calls for crumbled bacon. A little Christmas magic never hurts in the kitchen.

I don't, either.

 And cast-iron? Even better!
