A Day Late Executive Challenge

I found mine while going through my box yesterday and it's been a long while since mine has seen any carry time.  Given my tendency to not be able to have something going on challenge wise, I thought I'd have one with the Executive.  It's been awhile since the last Yeager Challenge, and I miss using mine.  I already have the Badge, so this is just for fun. 

If anyone's not involved in a challenge this month, the door is open and come on in!  The coffee and tea are hot!

Merit Badges Start a thread with a photo of a repair you made with duct tape Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Classic SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Nice mug, very colorful.  Will wake up your visual senses if you not awake before.

EXECUTIVE is a nice tool.  A shame that Victorinox discontinued.   

I have Custom version that was gifted / awarded via a Donation draw to MTO OPERATION FUND.

Since a few influencers posted about the benefits of this model auction prices escalated significantly in the past few months.

I've been doing the Yeager challenge for the past few years and I think I'ma pass on it this time.
But I do miss my executives too.

I have one Executive too but i dont carry it even tho i want. Its maybe gonna be those SAKs i wont carry unless i find second one somewhere for reasonable price.

I was a bit late doing this, but through the wonders of modern technology, I found a shop in Malaysia that still had some black ones in stock. They were good enough to ship a couple to the UK for me.

I quit carrying mine when they discontinued them.  I always enjoyed carrying it, but put it away thinking they'd be hard to come by and I only had one.

By following this challenge makes me want pop out my Executive to pocket carry few days, it has quite nice slip where i keep it safe. Maybe im bit too over protective on it (same goes to my MiniChamp)

Day 4: Opening up the vent on a cup of coffee with the file tip.  This design has always intrigued me with how it narrows, then opens up almost like an arrowhead.  The file definitely can get it done!  ☕☕

Barry, I would love to join you but health issues and big changes at work are taking up a lot of my time and energy right now. Since I'm almost never without an Executive I will jump on and share some pictures when I'm up to it, but I doubt I'll be very consistent. I'm hoping there will be another Yeager challenge sometime soon when I have some more pep in my step again.
Here's one of my Executives with a unique nail file. I think I've only seen one other like this, in an older video from either Swiss Army Dan or Mark Coffman.

That's what I thought too.  It looks like it would make a great Philips head. 

Psyjohn, post when you can!  I'd like to have that file style too.  I missed the last Yeager Challenge, and I started this after I was looking for something else in my SAK box and found mine. 

I can understand why they discontinued this knife, but I really wish they hadn't.   :facepalm:
