Day 17:

Gave the twin 7 year-olds their first knives today.; victorinox classic with an old style Fenix E01 on a lanyard.

They get to keep them in their rooms. The rule is they have to use the knife with supervision for now, though they each ah e experience using knife, mostly small fixed blade for whittling.

Great posts everyone!

Day 17

Unsure if I'm going to build this Lego set.  I should have bought two, one to build, one to keep pristine in box.
Seen below with a pink Alox classic.

Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

That set looks cool. My local Barnes and noble has that set and I’ve drooled over it a few times.

Eh..it depends. Healthier in that it doesn't have as much sugar, probably. Healthy? Probably not.

There's also the fact that a lot of chocolate apparently contains quite a bit of heavy metals.

That's an awesome setup for your kids. I've actually been considering doing something similar for myself.

Day 17

Cut some Taquitos in half so they would cool off quicker. May not have been a big job, but it sure was an important job!

Outstanding!!!!!!!

Starting them out right, with not only a small handy pocket knife, but with the flashlights that Fenix should never have stopped making!!!!!!!!!
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

I agree about the fenix, the original E01 was such a great light. Simple and bomb-proof.

The only non users in my collection. In general, I use/carry all my SAKs but I got these some time ago for OK price and keep them for eventual further trade/resell so rather keeping them in NIB conditions. Even the box is in good shape.
