DAY 2:
I use 2” PVC pipes to block off the drains in some of my tanks. After a while, the side that goes into the drain gets worn, and needs to be cleaned up a bit on a sander, so it’ll get a good seal in the drain. Afterward sanding, there’s always a bit of PVC around the edge that needs to be cleaned off. Well, the edge of the nail file working perfectly for it.  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Day 2:

Starting off with tightening a loose outlet. The Sheetrock has collapsed around the outlet ear, so it doesn’t sit flush with the wall. That repair will have to wait for another day.  Just tightening it so it doesn’t move around for now.

Wow, the file did an impressive job of that! I’m honestly surprised it cleaned it up so well.

Honestly, it surprised me as well. I was worried I might have to use the blade, but the file edge was just square enough to work.

I agree. As much as I love my 93mm alox, the blade is a bit of a wedge compared to a 58mm or even an 84mm. I honestly don’t know how people use some of the uber thick knives out there for edc. Compared to those even the 93mm is a slicer.

What kind of music and gig? What instrument(s) do you play?

I played in a band Sunrise from 1975 to 1996 and have performed as a solo act since 2000. I play a variety of music by artists such as the Beatles, Eagles Jim Croce, James Taylor, Gino Vanelli, Glen Campbell, Alabama, Roy Orbison, Dave Mason, Kenny Loggins, Brad Paisley, BeeGees, Harry Nilsson,  Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, Randy Travis, Association, Garth Brooks. Bread, Simon and Garfunkel. Keith Whitley, Byrds, John Michael Montgomery, Monkees, Jimmy Buffet, Pure Prairie League, Poco, Lionel Ritchie, Crosby, Stllls, and Nash, England Dan and John Ford Coley, George Strait, Everly Brothers, Van Morrison, etc.

I use a vocal harmonizer that copies the texture of my voice and adds vocal harmonies while I 'm singing, so  whatever song I am singing I have the same vocal harmonies that are on the original.

I also play a Line 6 Variax guitar which has 24 other guitars digitally loaded into it so that have acoustic and electric 12 stings, Les Pauls, Strat, Martin Rickenbacker guitars, etc, and even banjo or sitar.

That way  I can have the same guitar sounds as on the original songs.

I think we can rule out the trombone, trumpet and clarinet!

Maybe the piano, harp or guitar is my guess.

I like jazz, and country (I know  :twak:) but hey I am tone deaf, failed music class two years in a row.

But I love music, follow the beat :woohoo:

Very cool. Guitar, I assume?

I’m primarily an acoustic guitarist, though my heart is with the electric bass. I was in a band called “poncho” from 2012-2018 as bassist. Then I’ve played in church off and on since then.

I grew up on my parent’s classic rock, and also absorbed a healthy dose of my generation’s 90’s rock.

Hope you have a fun gig!

I can appreciate multiple genres, pretty much any good musicianship gets my vote. But rock and roll will always be where my heart lies.

That’s a cool setup. Much more advanced than my Luddite guitar -> cable -> amp setup :D

Second use of the day. Came back from an errand an noticed one of the storm door brackets was loose. Unfortunately, this was the first classic “fail,” in a way. I snugged it with the classic, but couldn’t get enough torque to get the wiggle out of the bracket. Had to fetch a real screwdriver.  Previous experience has shown the 93mm opener layer Philips is more than adequate for the task.
