Day 5

Had to cut open a new box of filters for my go-go juice.

Then I had to cut up this bag of pork rinds so I could extricate the final pieces without have to deal with the rest of the bag.  Yes, it got that annoying.   :D

Day 6

Opening some bags of landscaping bark.

I bought three 100 litre bags to start making a safer surface for the kids’ play area. I think I will need 1000 litres to do the job.

Well, well now.
Recent order from the Temu came.  I'm learning that ordering from the "local warehouses" seems to have issues with losing parcels,  nót to mention the extra shipping cost,

Day 6

I used my well worn copper Cadet to cut up some peppers for a shrimp pasta dish my wife is making. She's says I'm the best soux chef around, but I suspect my free labor helps with that assessment. :D

I got this old beauty in a lot with a few other SAKs a while back. The color is pretty faded but it's my favorite Cadet to carry, since it doesn't have a half-stop on the cap lifter, which is my preference.

Day 6

A quiet Friday on the HOMESTEAD,  very foggy and dreary for most of the day. Very surprised the temp was above 70°, yet very very damp feeling.

Clean yard of some debris that drifted into the yard, getting me some outside time and bending excercise😉

No jobs requiring a knife, even dinner was warming some pasta left overs with meatballs.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

My picture is the CADET being sized up by the STOCKMAN 75, that is often carried, just because I luv the     MEDITERRANEAN OCEAN BLUE scales.

The CADET has not disappointed, has handled awl duties with out issue.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

That copper Cadet 👆 is a looker. I should have bought one when I had the chance years ago.  :ahhh

Day 7

I'm enjoying the last of the plums with the 2019 Champagne Gold Cadet.

Day 6

I was craving some corned hash and since I don't know how to make it from scratch, the Cadet helped satisfy that need.  Still pretty tasty with some fried eggs.

Strawberries.

No packages expected for today so we're just chilling out on the back porch contemplating the loss of an entire hour that's scheduled for tomorrow.

Yes, just got use to waking up with light in the room!

Another adjustment, a sudden one fouls up this old internal clock, requiring a couple months to adjust.

Day 7

Regular Cadet posing with one of my favorite SAKs, my green Cadet X. Using it for this challenge seems like cheating to me, so it will stay in the drawer until April. Victorinox really missed the boat by not making the CX an official model.

I love Jarritos! All the flavors are great, but I think tamarind is my favorite.

My favorite are mango and apple.  Growing up I used to drink a brand called Joya.  It was a regional brand that was a competitor to Jarritos.

Very nice john  :like:

Are they original 84mm scissors or modded from another size?

They're original 84s from a trashed Climber Small.

Echo - that is a BEAUTIFUL knife!  I kick myself each time I see it for not taking it seriously until it was snatched up. You are a very wise SAK fan.

fullbreakfast - very colorful pencil sharpening. Impressive.

Psyjohn - great mod. So curious why VICTORINOX has not introduced the CADET X, since the PIONEER X and FARMER X had been made.  A Trio of ALOX scissor models make more sense to me over the COMPANION SERIES introduced last year or the that other style with redesigned scales ???
