Sadly, I don't those statements are too far off the mark. As it is, the OPNR would be a good add-on to cross over a free shipping threshold, but I'm otherwise not compelled to pick one up. I have scads of other tools that can open bottles, pry, turn screws, open packages, and be attached to keychains.

Am I the only one who thinks that this, thing, looks like a giant beer/soda can tab?!

I'd guess this was made to "rescue" the scraps from manufacturing 'cause if it was "studied, researched and produced" ...

It honestly looks like something that you would find on a rack in a souvenir shop in any tourist trap.

I have one (of course).  I have a ton of keychain tools like this from Leatherman, Gerber, and several others.  They're all pretty much novelty items.  The OPNR isn't the best or the worst.

Yep - Vic always claim their keyring as such  :o    >:D   - I guess if it could be considered a function/feature!

Does anyone else think that the OPNR will not provide the leverage that you need to open a bottle?

I don't want to sound negative because I really do want to encourage new ideas from Leatherman and other brands.  But as a tool, this looks like a MAJOR step in the wrong direction.  The Brewzer and the "by the numbers" #2 tool both seem like they would be 14 times more useful than the OPNR.

 :dunno:
