Good morning from Michigan
on: February 24, 2026, 12:27:20 PM
Good morning, I was looking for a forum that better speaks to my affinity for SAKs and joined. I received my first Boy Scout knife when I was 6 or so and got my first "real" multi tool, Gerber multipliers, when I was 12. Since I've had Gerbers, Schrader and Leathermans but came back to SAKs because I got tired of the heavy plier based tools. I EDC a Victorinox Explorer and Jetsetter but am always looking for that next best SAK lol. On my list would be an Outrider, Equestrian (I want to see how handy that hook can be), Workchamp, Handyman, Rambler, Modeler...my problem is that I have grown accustomed to the magnifier and philips head screw driver and have a strong need of a file but magnifiers and files are only available on the huge models. My ultimate goal is the pick up a Swiss Champ for cheap and modify to what I want.

I grew up in MICHIGAN, SW part of the Mitten.

And, where are you located?
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Feel free to jump into one of the SAK threads and make a post.  Be sure to post a photo once you learn how.  It is a little fiddly.  We do love photos.  If you have a Tinker, today is Tinker Tuesday.  Best wishes.  G

I have a Super Tinker but my daughter decided she needed it more at college than I did at my desk. She also did the same with my car and it isn't near warm enough for me to ride my motorcycle. Good thing I love her.
