I don't have any yet. But I'd definitely like some! I wonder whether the yellow is a different shade than the one that's been available from secondary vendors (and was also featured on the Master Electrician).

Those were on the Spartan page in Vic's corporate catalog.  It would be nice if you could just buy the scales.  Best wishes.  G

If I was reviewing the catalog correctly, those are colors added to the present choices, yet only available for corporate sales.

Does that mean a dealer would need to place that order and then have an exclusive colored product.

I thought that is how some ALOX colors are available, in which the back side scale has a mark for that dealer.

I have a DLT blue Alox!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

I think there is a difference between logo/advertising items and corporate gifts.  The corporate gift catalog has lots of things like kitchen cutlery, luggage, watches, etc.  Something like a Mango Tango Spartan isn't listed on the US Victorinox site, but I see them on flea bay, and from foreign brick and mortar shops.  So, you could get one, but not at your local Walmart.  One Spanish shop lists a Mango Tango Spartan for 28.95 Euros.  Some members don't balk at ordering things internationally.
Sneaky old IMR isn't promising you anything.  I simply asked if anyone had something in the new colors.  The pretty colors are available on the Classic SD now.  If I am not mistaken, I saw some of these at the local Walmart around the holidays.  Best wishes.  G

I was very curious, and the colors are actually very nice.

On the Vic web site I only found the one catalog, and the added colors shown in addition to the standard.

After I found the YELLOW, mud lined, (think was mud) SPARTAN, my interest has been peaked.

Snd, from a dealer a new MARBLES (multi colored scale) SPARTAN, I adjusted my search criteria.
DIFFERENT IS GOOD, Different is CLASSY😉

You know, it would be easy to run a small semi-custom shop from the Victorinox USA operation.  Don't need to have a big inventory of different colored models.  All you would need would be a pallet or two of finished assembled SAK frames with no scales.  Then one person could assemble a semi-custom SAK from the frames and several boxes of various colored scales.  Throw in a machine to custom etch the blades with a name or something if you wanted.  Want a nice Huntsman with orange scales?  No need to keep a big inventory.  Worker would pick out a Huntsman frame and pop on the appropriate scales.  Charge an extra $10 over normal retail and ship it.  Bright yellow SwissChamp?  Silvertech Tinker?  Hmm?
Best wishes.  G

Not a bad idea!  In fact I was curious if VICTORINOX was not already doing this in a similar manner with different countries to avoid taxes, tariffs or other fees for shipping cross country borders.

I know at one time, that partially assembled product could be received in the USA and avoid import duty tax. Then be completed here at a USA facility and then distributed and sold.    The incomplete state could even be requiring packaging, box or clamshell.

This thought popped into my grey brain, when searching for scales, a Ukrainian source has almost every color available listed as original Victorinox scales.
Either they make the scales for VIC, sell the overrun, or assemble finished items and sell the access.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Gary, there's a company effectively doing this now. They haven't assembled any models with the new colours yet but they customise models by swapping scales to offer models in colours that they don't currently come in. I'm sure (if these scales are sold the way we think they are) that they'll probably start shipping models in those colours soon...

Just goes to show.  Where there is a perceived need, and a way to make it happen, some bright individual will fill the void.  It might also demonstrate Victorinox's inability to rise above the stodgy business model that they have now.  Look how many decades it took them to realize that possibly, maybe, there could be a market for a SAK in some color other than red.  Best wishes.  G

A nice colour, I would like some 91mm scales.

I see she needs a new toothpick...

I wonder if the orange and green are similar to these ones:

The orange is nice. I don't have a Cellidor Companion yet, maybe I'll use that as an excuse if they make the new colors more available.

I did notice on Victorinox's site that Dark Illusion, Sunny Side, Falling Snow, and Style Icon are the new gibberish names for black, yellow, white, and red.  Those are some laughable monikers given to the Classic SD.  I am waiting until the Classic gets renamed to Perpetual Majesty.  Have to drop the SD part, since that sounds like something you would contract after a night of drunken bad decisions.

^^^ Yes hilarious - Its all inline with Vic's bu11sh1t - See here:
https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,94806.0.html

The worst of the lot is 'Style icon' - What does that even mean?
I guess red is an iconic colour for the SAK .... And is it styleish?     :dunno:
But as a (new) user on a website when I read that so called colour description how does that tell me the colour?   ???

When we first put these new colours in the Wiki - I had to check the colour chart/documentation - and when I had - I just put 'Red' - Later I begrudgingly added Style Icon - As I guess we have to represent what Vic say??

(Image removed from quote.)

Man, it never gets old looking at those colours, Reinier!

And Gary, those are truly heinous names... They sound like those wildly different names for house paints that companies come up with so they can make it seem like there are enormous differences between colours that are practically the same.

Huntsman, this kind of goes to what you're saying as well but there's this clothing company that puts alligators (crocodiles?) on their clothing. They have some colours that are their standard colours (read: bestselling), and those colours never go on sale and always command a high price. I'm wondering whether something similar is being thought up at Vic? Although, I feel like the newer, more exotic colours would be the ones to command a premium, price-wise...

Yes T
I am pretty sure I checked this a while ago -

I found a 'Classic Colours Collection' Classic SD in 'Style Icon' (.... I can barely type/say it  >:( ) and on that same site (could have even been Vic's!) they also had a regular red Classic SD .... and guess what?  .... The 'Style Icon' Classic was about $5? more !!

Rip off    >:D

Here is one of the green ones like friend Antti mentioned.  These will need new names as well.  I will try to restrain my gag reflex.  The green one can be "Meadow Marvel".  Wurp!  Ahh, that one almost got me.  I'm better now.  Whew.  The red one will be renamed  "Peek-a-boo Jellybean".  Woop!  Gargggh!  I need a gorgggg... second.  Hurp!  That one nearly got me.  My poptart nearly came back up.   Ahhhhh.
Beside the atrocity of having to pay extra for a plain red knife being named that disgusting new name is the simple fact that I can't remember any of the new color nomenclature.  Is white called Snowflake?  Snowdrift?  Snowman?  Blizzard Bounty?  Urpp!  That one did it.  Argggh!

If Victorinox wants to make use of my name for the cute green one (Meadow Marvel), I can give them full rights to the commercial use.  As consideration, I would be willing to accept a SwissChamp in Style Icon flavor as full payment.  If they are out of Style Icon, plain red would be just as good.  Maybe better.  Best wishes.  G

@ Gary

Found several of new colors on two sites I visited.

Was buying repair/replacement parts for some SAKs and needed to round up for free shipping.

Arrived today, SUNNY SIDE & MYSTICAL MORNING.

Apparently special packaging too!

If that is the case, then I have another one, a blue transparent, Ocean Blue or similar.

These will likely be future gifts!😉

Nice.  I hadn't seen the light gray.  I have a solid gray one somewhere?  Might need to post a photo.  I can see why Victorinox doesn't do 14 colors for all the 91mm models.  Some of them would sell well, but it would be a nightmare for a stocking dealer.  A dealer might go along with lots of colors in a 58mm, but having to stock a large quantity of Climbers, Campers, SCs, Compacts, etc would take mucho dinero.  Not to mention shelf space.  Plus some of them are bound to be poor sellers.  Lots of people buying yellow maybe, but not many tan ones moving.  Best wishes.  G

That makes me curious about dealers selling certain scales designs, or offering them.

DLT has their exclusives, Warthog, the digital camouflage, blue and now orange and a few others. Mostly CLASSICS and TINKERS. BUT they also have SWISS CHAMPS with speciality scales.  I begi to think they have the knives on the shelf without scales, and fit the order scale type on the blanks.

Then you have SMKW, with just about every tfTINKER outfitted with your choice of SMOKEY the BEAR style imaginable.

The SWISS KNIFE SHOPPE, also has their own collection of speciality scales.
Plus they have a collection of wooden scales with different design options that I expect they send out plain knives to a laser engraver to make the designs front and back.
