There are many good ones for EDC - it just seems to depend on what you are into when it comes to size vs. lumens.

I like Olight, Nitecore, Fenix and really all of the major brands.

My current top 2 are these:

- Olight iUltra, which is a little keychain light that illuminates automagically when you pull it out of its magnetic base.  And you charge it by plugging it into a USB-C port.

- Also the Streamlight Wedge SL, which is basically the size and shape of a carpenter's pencil.

Neither of these are massively bright, but both are excellent for EDC.  I always have the iUltra on my toy ring in my pocket, and frequently carry the Wedge SL clipped to a pocket.  Then when I'm out at night walking the dog, I'll also carry a massive thrower with strobe, just for giggles.

I have an Olight Baton II in stainless steel and like it. That said, I have had a couple of their lights which failed after a fairly short time, so I do have reservations about them.

I’ve personally had good, reasonably long term experiences with both Fenix and Nitecore, and I don’t think you would go wrong with anything from either of those companies that strikes your fancy.

I’ve been carrying a Nitecore MH12 Pro as my primary light for going on two years now.  I’ve been pretty happy with it overall, but it’s probably larger than you want.

The issues I had were with a clicky button that stopped working, and a small keychain light running on button batteries that just died for no apparent reason.

If you’re looking for alternatives similar in size to the Olight Baton (4), the Fenix E18R V2 might be worth a look.
