It appears that the count down will complete at 1200 hours EDT.

HIGH NOON for east coast USA.  (New York)

That is also 0800 hours for PACIFIC NORTHWEST, Leatherman’s home base.

Cheers.

On Tuesday?

Roughly 24.5 hours left?

This is what I’ve always wanted. Or if Vic put a bit driver on the Swisstool  ::) :pok:

I’d carry either in those cases. For a while now I’ve only carried my Spirt.
 :iagree:

They’ll top it off with some teaser about the crunch the day before and our collective souls will all die a little

The swisstool spirit does work with the rebar bit adapter, so if you can carry that around you have a quarter inch bit driver with your spirit

If it would by some miracle be the Mini-Tool then I would probably spend the money. Short of that I just don’t see me being too excited.

I read on a Leatherman Facebook group that Garage #1 was going to be re-issued. It was funny as someone in the group wanted to sell theirs for 2 grand before this reveal. Frankly Leatherman is starting to wear thin with me these past years. I found the whole Garage thing to be expensive catering to high end collectors. I got the first due to the history behind it but refused to be baited into buying more of them. Add to that the recent high prices combined with lack of added value such as a sheath that is now an additional expense. All I think when I think about Leatherman these days is a lot of    which is a shame because I went in wholesale when I saw value, which I just do not see these days. With that said, I should hopefully get my Wave Alpha which cost me 300 dollars for a freaking multitool.  :twak:

I own 2x Mr. Crunches.  I am happy to have them in the Powernoodle Special Reserve Collection because they are cool and unique.  If Leatherman were to reissue them, it would undermine their special and unique coolness.  Of course, Leatherman does not care about any of this.  They exist solely for the $.  That's not a bad thing, because Leatherman's quest to generate revenue is the reason we have these cool toys in the first place.  But make no mistake that Leatherman is "on our side", or that they care what we want.  They are not, and do not.

Edit:  I think I also own 4x "regular" Crunches.  If those pop, it would be less of a shock to the collector as they were regular production models for so long.

I will admit, I have been disappointed in LEATHERMAN’s lack of VISION.

THE RELEASE of the WAVE ALPHA, was a let down, particularly the statement that they (LM) listened to the buyers and delivered what was asked for.

I am now happy, a TTI CHARGE arrived, new, via the RIVER site and heads up from my friends on MTo.  And, this is surprising as the WAVE platform is not my favorite, I am a REBAR, SUPERTOOL300 fanboy.

The GARAGE releases have little interest.

The CRUNCH, nope as well. Novel idea it folded up, but I have been using a CLAMPING PLIERS for a long time. Even had a belt holster.

Traditional tools have been part of my life since I have been eight, and started my own tool box.  Then got real serious after tech school and actually was paid to travel the countryside fixing broken computer mainframes and peripherals.  (1973).

I first working LM TOOL was a ST300, found at LOWES HALF PRICE $40 with tax. With me yet today😉

I wish you all the best. And, hope you are not awl let down one more time.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

So a lottery for Garage 1, 2, and 4, with the no 7 knife available to buy.

More tools released at the same time tomorrow.

Appears to be US only, as you need an Insider account.

I’m pretty happy about this - I wanted 2 Europe75s (one to use, one to keep pristine), but the original sale limited me to 1.  I hope I win that lottery 🤞

But make no mistake that Leatherman is "on our side", or that they care what we want.  They are not, and do not.

I agree that they’re a business and their primary concern is remaining profitable, but I disagree that they don’t care what we want. I’m fortunate enough to have acquired one of the 500 Mr. Crunches originally manufactured, but many, many people that were unable to get one have been begging Leatherman to reissue them.  I have seen similar requests for many other tools as well. If Leatherman didn’t care what we wanted, this latest Garage reissue lottery would never have happened.

I also received an email with the vault, but I can't participate outside the US, because according to the support guy, I somehow accidentally subscribed to the US newsletter, so I can only blame myself for my disappointment. Awesome.💜

I had to throw in an entry for that one too. I probably shouldn't, but I like the toolset on that one, and wouldn't have a problem carrying it.

I do generally prefer the lottery format, me thinks.  I was right in there and got the Garage #1 and #2, before the whole world started catching on.  The next one I wanted was the #5 40th Anniversary Tool, which I could not get even though I was in at time zero.

So this takes the "stress" out of it, even though the only stress is what we create for ourselves.   :tu:

Best of luck to all of the Americans. :hatsoff:

Thank you sir.  Unfortunate indeed that our northern friends cannot get in on it.

It is disingenuous what Leatherman is doing in the Garage releases and The Vault, in my opinion. They said never to be sold again,  but clearly that is not true unless they sold less than 500 in batch 1, for example. I will pass on this,  but if they have some other retired tools available, then maybe.

I fell for the BS marketing hype myself and I have entered the "lottery" for a chance to buy a Mr. Crunch, which is the only tool I have even remotely wanted from any of their special crapola.

I couldn't get it the first time around as it wasn't available outside the USA and I wasn't going to pay a thousand dollars for one on the secondary market.

We don't all have Chako money.   :P

I saw someone on Reddit posting about the Obsidian ARC, and I thought it was an April Fools joke.  I just got the email with the link.  IMO it's their best tool in the best color.  I would buy another if I didn't already have 2.
