Grey Garage 005 FROM THE VAULT
on: April 02, 2026, 06:45:06 PM
Do any of you lovely people with access to the Vault feel like trying to win me a grey Garage 005?

Obviously I’m prepared to pay well for one to be shipped to me in the UK.

Which one is the Garage 005?

I can't keep track of all of them.

That's the 40th Anniversary flavor, which originally was in white.  I want the white one as well, but so it goes.   :tu:

As Powernoodle says, the Garage 005 was the 40th Anniversary release.

Basically a white handled, sprung pliered Free series tool that was released just before the Arc.

They released just under two thousand white, and gifted twenty or thirty grey to dealers or collectors.

That explains why I didn't know what it was.

Very little of this:

... is anything that appeals to me personally.  :ahhh

But, I wish you all the luck in getting it.  If we all had the same taste this would be a pretty boring forum!   :tu:

I must admit, this one is mainly about the thrill of the chase and having something rare.

Mr Crunch is a dream tool for me, something I carry and use regularly (and yes, I get a surge out of the car if I think I might damage the Mr Crunch), but my white Garage 005 is mainly a safe queen.

The Mr. Crunch is the only one that appeals to me because of it's history, although I will admit that the issue Mr. Crunch and the historical Mr. Crunch are probably very different.

I'm willing to pay a slightly more than reasonable amount for that reason.

The rest of the stuff just seems like a pointless, flagrant money grab to me, but then I'm betting that Ben Rivera drives a much nicer car than I do, so who am I to judge?  Plus, we all like what we like, so while it seems like I am being a judgmental prick and making light of the tool you want, please know that is not my intention.

And also that my opinions of anything mean absolutely nothing and should have no bearing on what you like and want.   :D
