I enjoy a cigar occasionally, thats the last of the tobacco that I am still allowed to enjoy ;). I would like to have a pipe again soon...

I never really found a tobacco I liked on the pipe, but the cigars, mmm, the crappy ones were great for mowing the lawn to keep the bugs off, I’d have a cloud following me and I didn’t mean the cigar, but after done and all showered up nothing was better then a nice good cigar with a wine cooler out on the front porch watching the sunset!

I've only been pipe smoking for a little over a year, and even then only very occasionally. I do like it, more than cigars, honestly. I think part of our is all the accouterments that go along with the pipe. Its just kind of fun!

That pic is from this year's trip to Rocky Mountain National Park (Estes Park) and Indian Peaks Wilderness areas.  My family has a cabin in Estes Park.

I also spend time in the San Juan National Forest, and that's probably my favorite part of the country.

I'm back home in MO today.  What a bummer!

Today I finally came clean with my mom and sister about my weight! It took many years to tell the truth. But, I had to do it to stop being ashamed of myself. And to actually be proud of my accomplishment.

Back in 2012 when I gave up on life I maxed out at 419 pounds. As of today I lost almost 180 pounds and only weigh 245 pounds.
I may never lose another pound but as long as I don’t gain it back I will remain damn proud of myself!!

Yet I keep slowly losing ounce by ounce. Every ounce is a fight but it’s a fight I’m not willing to give up on!

Good work, JR! And tell your wife I said good work! Losing weight is such a pain. BUT, IT IS WORTH IT! :cheers:

In 2008, I weighed 390lbs, and I'm only 5'8". I opted for full bypass surgery and lost 190lbs in less than a year and have kept the weight off since. Best thing I think I've ever done. And since I was in my early twenties then, most of the loose skin and stuff has tightened up.
It sucks that everyone I went to weight management class(pre surgery) with, for the surgery, has put back on nearly all of their weight. I guess they didn't let it sink in that the surgery was a lifestyle change and not a cure.

Here is a current photo of me, I took today. I changed my lifestyle and still eat tiny meals during the day.  :)
