Welcome to the forum, Kando. :waving:

Sorry to see this picture. Not surprised though, we've seen a few of the Freestyles/Skeletools break that way and it's been a known problem on some batches ever since they came out. So you shouldn't have any problems getting a replacement free of charge from your local Leatherman distributor. :salute: If you need help finding out who that is, let us know.

Original Wave main blade didn't survive possibly being used as a pry bar.

Sooo........ S30V Blade in its place?  Will it fit?

Today I broke the tip of a medium flat driver on my Surge. Was hardly placing any pressure trying to undo a screw and it snapped.

I was pretty surprised how easily it did break. Being over seas I really dreaded having to send this back to Leatherman for repair so I had a think and decided to just grind it down flat again. The tip is slightly fatter and the length slightly shorter and it won't fit nicely in screw heads that it used to. No biggy. It is definitely stronger though and if I really need to I'll make the tip a little thinner. Here it is grinned down.

So the choice to replace the small bit adapter with this screwdriver cause they broke too often was a "good" one. ;)

Glad you managed to save it though. :tu:

Haha yeah I hear what you're saying. I actually think I have improved the driver now though.

Don't know.  Some kind of flaw in the casting for the pliers, I reckon.

I personally broke two skeletools.
But i don't understand how you can break a Supertool or Surge (in two places :pok:).
And breaking a Swisstool, i dont think i have the force in my thin arms to achieve that. :P
