I'm considering fixing it.  I have an image in my head of some security guard trying to make an unwary traveller surrender it and them going "you want my solid silver SAK, sod that" snapping the blade off and shoving it back in their pocket.  I quite like that image :)

Personally, I like the sending it to me idea.  :D  I could twin it with the Scholar to keep up the bladeless theme.  :D

I have an answer to that but this is a family forum, so just imagine I've invited you to consume a couple of overly juicy purple fruit that I own  ;)

I'll add my own "modded" Supertool shall I?  I know what happened to this one at least.  :-[  Don't use the tip of the pliers as a lever.  ::)  As you can see I then re-worked the other side to match and rounded them both out.  I forget that's not what it's supposed to look like.

A producer warned that cutting pliers of this moltitool are counted on hardness provoloki to 40ÍÐÑ

It Surge. Error at making. A crack is in 1 ìì. Every garbage gets in her. She prevents correctly to measure a line. To repair this crack it is impossible in any way.

Gott have you tried loosening off the fastener &  lining it up better ? You would need some security tool bits to adjust the fastener.

Thank you for a prompt. There where I live, obtaining necessary for this purpose instruments is difficult. Therefore it will be necessary to leave everything because am.

You can get security tool bits on ebay . Is that an option mate . I have used them on a couple of my Leatherman. Most helpful when my Surge's screw driver tool became a little loose.

Correct me if I'm wrong , there is one pic of a broken Swisstool thats gone the rounds on the web .I don't recall seing many/any pics of broken Spirits .

Set against that , is a plethora of pics of broken Gerbers , SOG's and Leatherman tools .

Pretty remarkable performance . I would love to know what the return rates are on the various multi's !

I have been wondering if I should contact Gerber as my Surge & PowerAssist had no trouble cutting the same wire  . Quite thick & hard wire though.

Ha, I wonder if one can keep the handle as a dual assisted blade pocket knife and send the rest in for warranty.  :D

OMG the SOG handle blows my mind, I understand the plier issue because they are all cast and thats an inherent design flaw so to speak but stainless steel handles should not just snap like that....least not in terms of normal use.

Managed to snap the tip off the smaller driver on my Kick the other day. :(  No abuse as far as I'm concerned, I was simple turning a screw with it.  No picture I'm sorry to say but I was at work when it happened and I simply reshaped the tip back to a working form before I even thought of taking a photo.

Good as the LM drivers are (and they really are IMO) perhaps a little to brittle?  :-\
