Help me out what is this
on: March 03, 2009, 03:58:46 AM
Alright guys here are the pics I can only assume its a supertool after enlarging it and lighten up the color a bit.

I am going to go for it but not 100% its a supertool. Oh well for the price though I aint out much.

Let me know what you think it might be.

Supertool, pre-locking mechanism, early model
"Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall;
Some run from breaks of ice, and answer none:
And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169

It is. 100% definite. The serrated blade shape gives it away!

EDIT: it's pre 1996 or whatever we figured out as it has the "saber" shaped blade. You do need it RaptorMan ;) :D
I used to come here a lot.

Glad you got it man :tu: I wish I had saw this earlier :ahhh :-\

::) I think I bid against you but I didn't bid anywhere near your final price so sorry :-[

I noticed it was a SuperTool from the pic as well and was gonna throw in a low bid and see if I got it :)

We need a place set up where we tell what we are bidding on so we don't bid against each other ;)

Once again sorry man :-\

No problem I stopped just shy of my limit. I do agree on that we almost need to have our ebay names posted so we can see if its one of us. Not sure if anyone would object to that but I would prefer not too bid against anyone here.

Yeah I agree but I think that your user ID was hid to protect you :D I don't know how mine reads if others look at it

I believe that some of the other guys started to do that a while back but I never looked into it at the time :-\ Wish I had now ;) :D

I usually just see names like n***a.   That one is usually Smartknives btw.

You can figure out what your scrambled name is by looking at an auction you are bidding on using "ebay for guests".
We could post our scrambled names here so we can avoid bidding against each other.

It wouldn't be 100%,  since hashed names can be duplicates,  but the chances of a collision are pretty low.

eBay continues to change things up. The hashed mark obscured names have been changed again. The ONLY constant will always be the number itself. Do an advanced search "bidder" and check out your competition if you know their id name. That is the way I keep up with my competition. I have been keeping a list of SAK buyers for several years now and it has helped alot since the id changes.

Would it be overwheLming if we had a spot to post the auctions we are bidding on for tools or would that be too much?

My USED Supertool was the same , it still had the sticker on it. 8) :D :D

It would be good to find a fix for us bidding against each other . I have inadvertently bid against DaveK & Dennis(3 times now  :o :D) I have not won any either  :D. It is an auction & that is what happens but I do not see any +'s in making your mates pay more for tools. Maybe we could post the max we are prepared to go on an item OR a better way might be to ask "who is interested in this item" & PM max bids to each other & avoid  any 'guests' to the forum snipering us . Could be a can of worms too  any other ideas???
