Should I????
on: March 23, 2007, 11:04:04 PM
I'm getting a few dollars from my late dad's estate.

Should I spend a few sheckles of it and get this???
http://www.swiss-knife.com/asp/detail.asp?lan=EN&code=1.6795.XAVT&shop=SK

Though I have thought about getting this model, http://www.wengerna.com/browse/product.jsp?prod_id=1260&cat_id=1&cat_name=Knives&sub_cat_id=23

The XVAT looks like a better value for the moola.

What do you think???

I'd go for the big dog, but carrying it's another thing.   :)

If you decide to go with either of those I'd suggest talking to Roger (Swissbianco) first as he may be able to get a better price for you on either of them.

Being both collectables (not intended for use) I don't think you can really count on value per se.  I doubt you will actually carry either of them.

Sorry to hear about your loss too.

Got a PM from him in knifeforums! ;)

Thanks.  I was not pleasant watching my dad suffer from a stroke so bad he didn't know his ass from his elbow.  It was merciful that he didn't linger in that state for too long!!  Still, he's now with Mom!!!!

First off, I'm sorry to hear about your loss too.

Second, I thought the Semi-official motto of this forum was... "When in doubt, buy both!"

So there's your answer :P
If you took all the intestines out of your body and stretched them end to end... you would die.

If I may ask, how many Ben Franklins for the big Wenger? (ballpark)

Tough news about your dad, but it sounds like he's in a better place now.

So sorry to hear about your loss  :(

If I was in your shoes I would go for the Vic but only because I prefer them and to be honest I dont do wenger  ;) But maybe I should get one .The big Wenger would make a great " TV knife " though , by that I mean the one you sit there playing with when your watching T.V  :D

Now if the wenger or XVAT had a TV remote, that would make it worth the money!!!

Hey, that's cute!

No need to attach it to your sak though; by next year Victorinox will have an entire knife built around one!
