Woodworker Mod
on:
March 07, 2009, 09:31:09 AM
Well I finally got ahold of some brass rod thanks to the lovely folks on this forum and I attempted my first ground-up mod today. I used leftovers from a Champion I robbed for a metal file, and I am actually pleased with the theme I was able to end up with. It consists entirely of wood working features- blades, a saw, a chisel, and cork is technically wood so a corkscrew too
. I only got one photo then my camera died, so more to come later but for now here is the one and only pic I have of a 2 layer Ben X mod

Oh no Gareth! I've made a huge mistake! I thought woodworked seemed to ring a bell after I dubbed my new mod with the name, so I did a search over at SOSAK and sure enough, your phillips, chiseless version of my mod popped up! So 1,000 apologies, I will go back to the drawing board
I'm thinking something like Garden Hand, Landscaper, etc. Yeah, landscaper! Especially considering who it is most probably going to.

Landscaper gets my vote. The single word name ones always sound best

It's like you read my mind! I enjoy working with wood and have recently been wishing for a tool with the just two knife blades and a saw. I hadn't even thought aboutf a chisel though. If Vic made a tool like that I'd probably buy it.
Prone to daydreaming.

Don't worry Ben I called mine the Woodcrafter.
So call it what you want, I will say the Landscaper is a good name though.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

So with corkscrew its a Landscaper, with a phillips its a Woodcrafter.
I'll do one with an awl on the back and call it a Golfer

Oh Gareth, it was wood
crafter
not wood
worker
. Well I guess I will go with my original name then
And that's funny Benner that we both composed the same work of art- must be something about the name
I think I will save Landscaper for something a little mre heavy duty- plus the chisel is more of a woodworking tool anyway. Or I could go with the name suggested for Benner's mod- but I'm not sure I want to try to give my best friend a woody
