So the money I saved up to get a Spirit got spent to fix our AC. Pro tip, do not try and live in Georgia without AC.

Anyhow this now gives me time to over analyze the choice between a X and the standard model?

What say you?
I say the standard model, especially if you'll carry a SAK with it.  The butterblade is a great companion to the traditional SAK blade :tu:

That is what I am thinking also. The last thing I need is another plain edge blade between the SAK and Spyderco I always carry.

The only difference between the two models is the blade?

Yes. If you are carrying a sak and a folder, definitely go with the standard version. :tu: AC is way more important than a new multi.

I thought a new multi would be better and my wife thought the same as you.

So anyhow our AC works now.

Yep, standard Spirit. I went back and forth a little and ended up getting the standard model, so glad I did. That butter blade is awesome. When you'll always have a regular blade on you, the serrated is awesome to have for rope, twine, etc. Goes through that rough abrasive stuff like.....butter.

+1 on that, and I use my Spirit for AC repairs (mostly).

So congrats!, and sorry to hear that, 'cause your other multis will be collecting dust now.

Congrats for the Spirit Harley.

Since I got it, the Spirit is my one and only MT until now. Love the butter blade, I used to pair it with Compact or Manager.
