Naah... In fact I love that feature... Got me wondering though, are all phillips on spirits supposed to be magnetised?

Got me also to look at my minichamps... One is and the other is not... Also my rambler...

So does this magnet feature have something to do with year of production... Sorry, am quite new to using plier based multi-tools

Mine is!

I've found this useful twice in my life, so I can't complain if the previous owner is guilty of magnetising it!

The ones pictured are all magnetised

Spirit back in action. Doing some light repair on my water dispenser just now. Used the plier, file and phillips screwdriver.

I repaired (actually, dismantled the whole darn thing) my momma's coffe macchine today. She put a wrong capsule on her Nespresso (non-compatible brand) and it got stuck, leaking hot water everywhere and blocking the opening lever.

After cleaning, I was able to have my little reward :)

Oh man, that's no good. These proprietary coffee machines got to be too much for me, I just use an old school filtered drip or cold brew now. But anyway, speaking for myself, I don't use an MT very often, certainly not day-to-day. BUT the beauty lies in the being able to prevent a minor annoyance from becoming a major annoyance. Like this situation... being able to pop in there and pull out the offending coffee pod, and getting on with your day. That's a nice fix!

I know the wire cutters aren't replaceable but how do they stack up?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I know it might not be a popular opinion here, but I feel the wire cutters are one of the Spirits few weaknesses.  Not the best at cutting and not very big either.  They are pretty durable though. :)
