First I drooled over the spirit for a long time, then I bought it and loved the tool but hated carrying it but now I have a hard time not having it and it has proven itself time after time and saved me lots of trips to the garage.. And belive it or not but I have used the file so many times where I otherwise would leave the edges ruff on projects that might not matter or be seen but then taking stuff apart again there is now a clean job.. Horizontal carry really made more differens then I first thought

Ordered a leather sheath from Nay's Custom Leather (Murray, UT) with an area in the back to hold a ruler too. Do wish there was some way to transfer the Victorinox logo to the new sheath when it does arrive. Like the triangular logo

Victorinox sure does not use very thick leather on their sheaths. Must be some skinny cows in Switzerland.

Horizontal carry like that does look good, if that was the only thing I was carrying. Thinking I should find some sort of leather sheath to carry a PocketToolX Piranha in, as I carry it behind the Spirit X. Thin leather for the most part would be okay that far back. Using a cheap generic Leatherman pouch to carry the Piranha. Still find the Piranha useful for some things. Will figure out something one of these days. Can't see paying a whole lot for a sheath for a one-piece tool, unless was carrying something else with it.

If I would add a tool like that I think I would like it in a small slot in the outside of the sheath.. And the ruler at the back, it would not build that much in thickness and still be easy to get

What’s the fun in having a new tool if it doesn’t get carried and used?  To me not much fun, so I had to give the new Spirit a work out doing some hard work.  Metal saw, wood saw, phillips, chisel tool, and pliers all got used.  The Spirit is just such a nice and fun tool to use.

Wished could afford a BO, but I'd much rather have one that was perhaps more purple, like treated titanium more than anything. Black is too easy for me to lose or get misplaced.

Have considered getting a Swiss Tool, but I like the Spirit X so much I cannot see any reason to get a clunkier tool just for a ruler on it.

Was expecting a handcrafted sheath to arrive before long, but looks to be later in the month. It's supposed to have a pocket in the back for a ruler.  :D

A purplish Spirit would be awesome.  My first Spirit was acquired used and I love it, but I just couldn’t stop looking at the BO one.  I was fortunate that I got a little unexpected money at the same time a found a reduced price one and couldn’t resist.

Carrying the Spirit XBS I procured from the MTO Store. I'm not sure how The Boss landed this one without the silly cap crimper, but I am sure grateful to have it, it's an exceptional MT. No, it's not a shelf queen!  :D

It's one I'm still looking to add to my collection.

My MTO XBS has the crimper and personaly I have found the cap crimper to be a handy feature.  I have never used it for cap crimping, but it has come in handy when dealing with certain hex water line fittings and hex nuts that are just a little to big for the pliars.  I've also found it useful for helping to position aluminum pilot gas lines and copper refrigeration lines with out distorting them out of round.

Awesome.  The beauty of the XBS makes it seem like it should be a shelf queen, but it just so nice to use.

I confess I did not know there were ones out there without the cap crimper.
